BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Narrator: Once upon a time, in a far away country, there was a man and his beautiful daughter, Bella.
Bella's father was a merchant who traveled the country selling a variety of objects. One day, he was
preparing to leave for a fair with his wagon.

Merchant: Goodbye, Bella. I will bring you the gift you asked for.

Bella: Thank you, father. Take care of yourself.

Narrator: The merchant walked away from the town, but soon got lost in the forest. He sought refuge in a
dark castle that he found at the end of a road.

Merchant: Hello! Anyone here? I just need to spend the night...

Narrator: The merchant entered the castle and was surprised to see that it was full of talking objects, among
them were the teapot and his son Chip's, a teacup.

Teapot: Welcome, sir. I'm Mrs. Teapot and this is my son Chip. We are the servants of the castle.

Chip: Hello, sir. Do you want to have a coffee?

Narrator: The merchant calmed down and accepted the hospitality of the objects. He spent the night in a
comfortable room and the next day he prepared to leave. Before leaving, he saw a beautiful garden full of
roses and remembered the gift that Bella had asked for.

Merchant: What beautiful roses. I'm sure Bella will love one of them.

Narrator: The merchant picked a rose from the garden, but at that moment the beast appeared, furious at
his audacity.

Beast: How dare you steal my rose! It's the only thing I have left! I am going to kill you!

Merchant: Forgive me, I didn't know it was yours. I just wanted to make my daughter happy...

Beast: Do you have a daughter?

Merchant: Yes, her name is Bella and she is the most important thing in my life.

Beast: Then I'll make you a deal. I will spare your life if you bring your daughter to me. She must stay with me
forever.

Merchant: I can't do that to him!

Beast: It's your decision. Either you bring me your daughter or you die right here.
Narrator: Full of fear, he accepted the deal and returned to town with the rose. When he arrived at his
house, he told his daughter everything that had happened.

Bella: Father, you can't do this. You can't hand me over to that beast.

Merchant: I have no choice, it's my fault. I stole the rose.

Bella: No, father. I wanted a rose. I am the one responsible. I will go to the castle and stay.

Merchant: You can't do that. I love you too much.

Bella: And I to you, father. But it's the only thing we can do.

Narrator: Beauty said goodbye to her father and left for the castle with her horse. When she arrived, she
knocked on the front door. And she met the Beast

Bella: I'm Bella. I have come to stay with you.

Beast: Really?

Beast: Come, I'll show you your room.

Narrator: The beast took Belle to a luxurious room and told her that she could have anything she wanted in
the castle, except for one thing.

Beast: This is your room. Here you have books, music, clothes... Everything you could want. There is only one
rule: never enter the west wing of the castle. It is my territory and it is prohibited.

Bella: Okay, I won't go in.

Beast: Okay, I have to go. I'll see you at dinner.

Narrator: The beast left and left Belle alone in her room. She explored the castle and met the talking objects,
who were happy to have a new friend.

Teapot: Hello, Bella. I'm Mrs. Teapot and this is my son Chip. We are delighted that you are here.

Chip: Yes, you are very pretty and nice.

Bella: Thank you!!

Teapot: Do you like the castle?

Bella: Yes, it's very nice. But... What's in the west wing?

Teapot: Oh, it's a secret. You shouldn't go there. It is dangerous.

Bella: Why?

Teapot: We can't tell you because of the spell

Bella: What spell?

Teapot: well, the beast was a very handsome and rich prince but also arrogant and cruel, so a witch cast a
spell on him to punish him and told him that he would only break if he found true love before the enchanted
rose withered.

Bella: The enchanted rose? The one in the west wing?

Teapot: Yes, that same one. But you shouldn't approach her.

Bella: I see...
Narrator: Bella was curious about the west wing, but she decided to respect it and not go there. But one
night, while Beast was sleeping, Beauty escaped from her room to the west wing. There she found a locked
door, but she managed to open it. When she entered, she saw a room full of dust and a large mirror covered
by a cloth and a display case with a red rose that was shining.

Bella: It's the enchanted rose...

Narrator: Bella walked over to the display case and lifted the lid to touch the rose. But at that moment, the
beast appeared, roaring in anger.

Beast: I told you not to come in!

Narrator: Bella got scared and dropped the rose, it fell to the ground and lost one of its petals. The beast
became angrier and yelled at Belle.

Beast: You broke the rose! You have ruined my only hope! You are an intruder, a thief, a liar!

Bella: No, please forgive me! I just wanted to see it...

Narrator: The beast pushed Belle out of the room and closed the door on her. Beauty ran to her horse and
left the castle.

Bella: What a monster! I can't stay another minute!

Narrator: Bella rode through the forest, but she encountered a pack of wolves who attacked her. Bella tried
to defend herself, but the wolves were too many. When she was about to be devoured, the beast appeared

Narrator: The beast fought with the wolves, but was wounded. Beauty saw that the beast was bleeding and
she had compassion.

Beast: They bit me...

Bella: I'll help you.

Narrator: Belle helped the beast and took him back to the castle. She healed her wounds and thanked him.

Bella: Thank you for saving me.

Beast: You're welcome. I'm sorry for yelling at you.

Bella: I'm sorry too for touching the rose.

Narrator: The beast and Belle looked into each other's eyes. A spark of love was born between them.

Beast: Will you stay?

Bella: Yes

Narrator: The beast and Belle hugged each other and smiled. The talking objects saw them and were glad
that the spell was close to breaking.

Teapot: How beautiful!

Chip: Yes, mom. Do you think the spell will be broken?

Teapot: I hope so, son. I hope so

Narrator: While the beast and Belle fell in love in the castle, in the town, a man named Gaston found out
what had happened to the merchant and his daughter. Gastón was the most handsome and strongest in
town, but also the most vain and conceited. He was obsessed with Bella and wanted to marry her.

Gastón: Bella is the most beautiful woman in the world and I am the most perfect man. We're made for each
other. I'm going to ask her to marry me.

Narrator: Gastón went to the merchant's house and knocked on the door.

Merchant: Who is it?

Gastón: I am Gastón, the town hunter. I'm here to talk to Bella.

Merchant: I'm sorry, Gastón, but he's not here. He went to the beast's castle.

Gaston: What are you talking about?

Merchant: A horrible beast lives in a castle and asked me to give it my daughter in exchange for sparing my
life.

Gastón: And you gave it to him?

Merchant: I had no choice. It was that or die.

Gastón: Well, I'm not going to allow that beast to stay with Belle! I'm going to go to the castle and I'm going
to rescue her. And I will marry her.

Merchant: Gastón, don't do it. Bella is fine.

Gaston: What do you say? How could she want to stay with a beast? She loves me, I'm sure.

Narrator: Gastón did not pay attention and went to the town, seeking help from his friends, but they rejected
him thanks to the fear they had of the beast. But this did not matter to him, he grabbed his weapon and
headed to the forest. Meanwhile, at the castle, the beast and Belle were having dinner together in the dining
room.

Beast: Beauty, there is something I want to tell you.

Bella: What is it?

Beast: I love you. I love you more than anything in the world.

Bella: I love you too. You are the best friend I have ever had.
Beast: Just a friend?

Bella: No... something else. You are my Love.

Beast: Really?

Bella: Yes, really.

Beast: So... do you want to marry me?

Bella: Yes, I want to marry you.

Narrator: The Beast and Beauty looked into each other's eyes and hugged each other.

Teapot: They've done it! They have declared their love!

Chip: Yes, mom! The spell is going to be broken!

Narrator: But just then, there was a knock on the castle door. Gaston had arrived to attack the beast.

Gaston: Open the door, Beast! I've come for Bella!

Beast: Who is that?

Bella: Gastón, the town hunter. He wants to marry me, but I don't want him.

Gaston: Don't lie, Bella! I know you love me! Leave that beast and come with me!

Bella: No, Gastón! Leave me alone! I love the beast!

Gaston: Don't talk nonsense! The beast is a monster! I'm going to kill her and I'm going to free you!

Narrator: Gaston broke the castle door and entered. The talking objects tried to stop him, but they couldn't.
Gastón went to the dining room and found them

Gaston: There you are! Prepare to die!

Beast: Don't kill me! I only want Bella!

Gaston: Shut up! She is mine!

Narrator: Gastón fired his shotgun at the beast, but he dodged the shot. The beast pounced on Gaston and
knocked him to the ground. The two started fighting

Narrator: Belle ran to the west wing and saw the beast and Gaston fighting. She tried to separate them, but
she couldn't. Then, she saw the enchanted rose in the display case and an idea occurred to her.

Bella: Wait!

Narrator: Belle took the enchanted rose and showed it to the beast and Gaston.

Bella: This is the enchanted rose. It is the symbol of the love between the beast and me. If it withers, the
spell will be broken and the beast will become a prince.

Gaston: A prince?

Beast: Yes, a prince. I was a prince before a witch turned me into a beast.

Bella: Yes, and I have returned her humanity with my love. Look, there's only one petal left. If it falls, the spell
will be broken.
Narrator: Bella blew on the rose and its petal fell. Then, something magical happened. The rose transformed
into a star and enveloped the beast with its light. The beast changed body and soul. When the light went out,
the beast was no longer a beast, but a prince.

Prince: Bella... is it me?

Bella: Yes. You are the prince.

Prince: You... do you still love me?

Bella: Yes, I still love you. I love you for who you are, not for what you look like.

Prince: I love you, Bella.

Bella: I love you, prince.

Narrator: The prince and Belle kissed with love and happiness. Then, they realized that Gastón was looking at
them with amazement and envy.

Gastón: It can't be... She has chosen him... That prince...

Narrator: Gastón couldn't bear to see Bella happy with another man and he was filled with rage. He grabbed
a knife and lunged at the prince.

Gaston: Die, prince! Go dead!

Narrator: But the prince was alert and dodged Gaston's attack. He punched him causing him to collide with
the wall, dying instantly.

Bella: You killed Gaston!

Prince: Don't worry, Belle. He was evil. He deserved it.

Bella: Yes... I guess so...

Narrator: The prince hugged Belle and comforted her. They then headed to the main hall where the talking
objects had also regained their human form.

Teapot and chip: The spell has been broken!

Narrator: They hugged and that's how the love story between Beauty and the Beast began.
