I believe my film went better than I had hoped for it to do.

I find that my extended

research of the uncanny and sudden jumpscares was useful, especially during my first
jumpscare. I did of course have challenges I had to overcome to be able to make the film
presentable

The lamp

This lamp was extremely vital during my filming process. It was a small yet purposeful item that helped me to increase my
brightness on a small scale. As seen from the pictures below, Within the picture without the lamp, the brightness in the shot
could not be increased without turning on the ceiling or other sources of light, which if turned on would have overwhelmed
the suspenseful shot with a vague brightness. The use of the lamp allowed me to adjust the lighting just enough to help the
phone camera see through the entire hallway without removing the darkness or the shadows.

The ending

This ending was left a bit ambiguous compared to my primarily planned-out scene. I had to do this due to my film being
longer than the limit. Before the big change, my film measured at nearly 3 minutes but was cut down to 5 seconds over 2
minutes. Even before the shooting, I had to remove many shots from my shot list due to the timing which were mostly from
shots that starred the monster as I found that the costume and the lighting could not produce a decent take.

Jump scare sounds.

These sounds were chosen very specifically for my shot. I tend to analyse that there are 3 different types of jumps scare
sounds which are inclusive of a scream, a musical note, or a howl. I used the scream type only during the appearance of my
monster and musical notes for suspense building such as when Kiki brushes his teeth or walks in the hallway. Something I
found challenging here is that some jumps scare sounds were perfect for the scene but simply lasted too long and when I
attempted to speed them up or cut them down, I was not able to smooth out the scene properly. However, I was able to
overcome this challenge by just reshooting the first scene to make it a little longer for the jump scare to fit.
