Adjectives
When you describe how an
object looks like by telling its
shape, size, color, texture, taste; or
when you tell the characteristics or
qualities of a person, animal, or an
event, you use adjectives.
Adjectives are used
to describe a noun or a
pronoun.
• It can be written before a
noun.
Examples:
1. The bright sun is shining.
2. I wear a jacket because
of the cold weather.
• It can also be written after
the be verb to complete the
sentence.
Examples:
1. The rocks are rough.
2. The sky is clear.
Directions: Find the adjective
in each sentence.
Example:
The cat is fat.
The adjective in the
sentence is fat.
1. I saw a colorful butterfly
today.
2. The little girl is crying.
3. I love watching scary
movies.
4. The cowboy is riding a
brown horse.
5. Loud music hurts my
ears.
6. The boy is sad.
7. The eagle is big.
8. The icecream is
delicious.
9. It is a deep sea.
10. My friend James is
short.
