LAND
MOUNTAINEERING
Mountaineering, mountain climbing, or alpinism is a set of outdoor activities that involves ascending
mountains. Mountaineering-related activities include traditional outdoor climbing, skiing, and traversing via
ferratas that have become sports in their own right.
CAMPING
 Camping is a form of outdoor recreation or outdoor education involving overnight stays with a basic
temporary shelter such as a tent.
BACKPACKING
 Recreational activity of hiking while carrying clothing, food, and camping equipment in a pack on the
back.
PICNIC
 An excursion or outing with food usually provided by members of the group and eaten in the open.
BIRD-WATCHING
 Birdwatching, or birding, is the observing of birds, either as a recreational activity or as a form of citizen
science.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
 Mountain biking is a sport of riding bicycles off-road, often over rough terrain, usually using specially
designed mountain bikes.
ORIENTEERING
 A group of sports that involve using a map and compass to navigate from point to point in diverse and
usually unfamiliar terrain whilst moving at speed.
CANYONEERING
 The sport of exploring canyons (as by climbing, rappelling, or rafting).

ROCK CLIMBING
 Rock climbing is a sport in which participants climb up, across, or down natural rock formations or
indoor climbing walls.

WATER
SWIMMING
 Swimming, in recreation and sports, the propulsion of the body through water by combined arm and leg
motions and the natural flotation of the body.
SNORKELING
 Is the practice of swimming face down on or through a body of water while breathing the ambient air
through a shaped tube called a snorkel, usually with swimming goggles or a diving mask, and swimfins.

DIVING
 Diving is the sport of jumping or falling into water from a platform or springboard,
usually while performing acrobatics.
SURFING
 Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer (or two in tandem
surfing), uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water,
which usually carries the surfer towards the shore.
CANOEING
 Canoeing is an activity which involves paddling a canoe with a single-bladed paddle.
KAYAKING
 It involves the use of a kayak, a narrowboat with a double-blade paddle to move on water.
WHITE WATER RAFTING
 The activity of riding on a raft over rough, dangerous parts of a fast-flowing river.
SAILING
 The sport of sailing involves a variety of competitive sailing formats that are sanctioned
through various sailing federations and yacht clubs.
FISHING
 Big-game fishing is fishing from boats to catch large open-water species such as
swordfish, tuna, sharks, and marlin.
BAMBOO RAFTING
 Bamboo rafts can be used as a means of transportation, which is fast and energy-saving
when going down the river.
AIR
PARASAILING
 A recreational kiting activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle while attached to a specially
designed canopy wing that resembles a parachute, known as a parasail wing.
SKY DIVING
 The sport of jumping from an airplane and typically executing a prolonged free fall before deploying a
parachute.
PARAGLIDING
 A type of extreme sport found in the early 1980s by people interested in aerial sports, and it allows one
to run off the slopes with free parachutes.
