Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high

school programme(for eg, working for the charity). Improving the neighbourhood or
teaching sports to younger children. Do you agree or disagree.

The issue whether unpaid community services should be mandatory part of

secondary school programme sparked the heated debate. It is often argued
whether it is a boon or bane for a learner. We certainly can not ignore the
benefits of these programme as they help to enhance their knowledge.
However, I totally agree with this prompt due to several factors.
There is a long list of key roles that these programme plays in a student life’s
directly or indirectly. The first and the foremost reason is volunteering helps
high school student to improve their social professional skills by interacting
with the other people which build their career. Furthermore, they will learn
many aspects of life. To exemplify, by engaging in these activities, students can
learn about how to work in teamwork, leadership as well as develop empathy.
Moving further, there are myriad of advantages associated to do volunteer
work. Firstly, some of the students are introvert, so by doing these activities
helps them to open up their way of thinking and also help them to make their
decision by their own. Moreover, activities like teaching to poor children,
helping the needy ones makes student busy which keep them away from bad
activities. In addition, high school leaner also find their goal by working for
charity.
To recapitulate, by analysing both the aspects there are many merits of a
unpaid community services. Also, high school students can maintain a good life
by attending these programmes instead of wasting their time on social apps.

The given bar chart depicts the information about the number of graduate and
postgraduate students did after completing their college excluding full time
work in UK in 2008.
Overall, as clearly observed from the charts, majority of the graduates and post
graduates students went for further studies. Where as, least number of both
the students did voluntary work.
As seen from the first chart, maximum number of the graduate students
planned to do further studies that was around 30,000 in 2008. Furthermore,
One third of the graduate students started doing part time work, which is the
second attractive option. While, a tiny number of the students did the
voluntary work. In addition, approximately 16,000 of the graduate students
were unemployed.
Moreover, most of post graduate students did part time job as well as went
for their higher studies which was nearby 2,500. Also, smallest group of post
graduate students did voluntary work at 345.
