2. 특성
대전 최초의 순수 민간 사학! 1980년 개교한 대전대학교는 대전 순수민간사학으로서 그 동안 국가와
지역사회 그리고 학생들로부터 신뢰와 사랑을 받는 대학으로 성장해 왔습니다. 그 동안의 경험과 지혜를 바탕
으로 변화와 도전의 시대를 맞이하여 명실상부한 세계 수준의 특별한 학부중심대학으로 성장하고자 앞으로의
새로운 10년을 향한 창조적 도전을 목표로 고등교육 환경의 변화 및 대학 정책의 변화에 따라 교육브랜드 비전
2020을 수립하여 전 구성원이 노력을 기울여 오고 있습니다.
 V Plan 대학교육 본연의 질과 가치를 명심하며, 차별화된 명품교육을 만들어 가기 위한 환경과 여건을
조성하고 있습니다. 2010년에 발표된 교육브랜드의 비전과 콘셉트를 바탕으로 「튼튼한 기본」과 「특별한 경험」을

유학하기 좋은 학교! 대전대! 대전대학교는 외국인 유학생들을 위해 물심양면으로 투자를 아끼지 않고

있습니다. 국제교류원에 한국어교육센터를 설치하여 본교로 유학하는 외국인 유학생의 한국어 배양에 힘쓴
결과 한국어능력시험(TOPIK)에 다수의 학생들이 합격을 하고 있으며, 외국인 전용 기숙사를 건립하여 외국인
유학생들이 쾌적한 환경에서 공부를 할 수 있도록 하고 있습니다. 더불어 유학생서비스센터(ISSC), 버디(Buddy)
프로그램, 내국인 통역의전요원 및 Taking Club을 통하여 유학생들이 대한민국 및 대전대학교에 적응 할 수 있도록 하고
있으며, 그 외 다양한 한국문화 체험과 대학생활을 영유할 수 있도록 각종 프로그램을 개설하여 운영하고 있습니다.

① 공관, 대학 중 반드시 1개 기관을 통해서만 지원 가능(이중 지원자는 선발 대상에서 제외됨)
② 지원자 및 부모 모두 외국 국적을 가진 외국인(※지원자가 한국 국적을 가진 이중 국적자는 지원 불가)
③ 만 40세 미만인 자(1982년 9월 1일 이후 출생자)

④ 2022년 8월 31일 기준 학사, 석사, 박사학위를 취득한 자 또는 취득 예정자

C.G.P.A 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, 3.23/5.0 이상 (C.G.P.A. : Cumulative Grade Point Average, 종합 평균 평점)
⑥ 한국 내 고등학교, 대학 또는 대학원을 졸업한 자는 지원 불가(예외 : 해외입양인, 기존 GKS 장학생)
⑦ GKS 장학생 합격 후 포기자 또는 자격 상실자 지원 불가
(예외 : 한국어 연수 수 TOPIK 3급 이상 미취득으로 자격 상실이 된 경우 → 5급 취득 시 재지원 가능)
⑧ 한국 정부 장학사업의 학위과정 장학금을 받은 사실이 있는 자는 지원 불가

2. Overview
Introducing Daejeon Daejeon is a metropolitan city belonging to 8 major metropolitan cities
(including Seoul) in Korea. Daejeon University is in Daejeon. Daejeon is located in the central part of
South Korea, so traveling is convenient (takes only 1 hour from Daejeon to Seoul by express train(KTX)),
prices are inexpensive, and more than 1.5 million Daejeon citizens use standard Korean. Therefore, Daejeon
is an ideal city for foreign students to study in Korea.

Introducing DJU! Deajeon University was founded in 1981 with Educational Philosophy
pursing development of nation, creation of culture, and contribution to society. Through more
 than 50 Departments in 7colleges, we offer education with theory and practicality to help our
students have not only knowledge but also the right sense of values in globalized society

new environments, International Student Service Center(ISSC) plays a role of assisting all international

① All applicants and their parents must not hold Korean citizenship.
② Korean citizens and dual citizenship holders
(one who have Korean citizenship and citizenship of another country) are NOT eligible to apply.
③ Must be under 40 years of age as of September 1, 2021(born after September 1982)
(Professors who are under 45 years of age as of September 1, 2021 (born after September 1, 1977)
and hold citizenship of one of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipients.)
④ Applicants must hold or must be expected to hold a Bachelor, Master or a Doctoral degree
by August 31st, 2022.
⑤ All applicants must have maintained the overall grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to or higher than
any ONE of the following from their respective universities :

2.64 on a 4.0 scale / 2.80 on a 4.3 scale / 2.91 on a 4.5 scale; / 3.23 on a 5.0 scale
OR Score percentile: 80% or above on a 100 point scale
OR be ranked within the top 20% within one’s class.
(Exception: Previous or current GKS scholars must hold the grade of 90% or above on a 100 points scale or
be ranked within the top 10% within one’s class)

⑥ Applicants who have graduated from Korean high school or university are NOT eligible to apply.
(Applicants who have previously studied in a Korean university as exchange or visiting students CAN apply.)
⑦ Former applicants who had withdrawn from the scholarship after being selected as GKS(KGSP)
scholars (applicable to those who did not come to Korea after being selected as GKS scholars
and who had resigned from their studies) and who were disqualified during their scholarship
period are NOT eligible to apply.
(Exception: Former GKS scholar whose scholarship was forfeited due to a scholar’s failure to achieve
TOPIK level 3 or above after completing Korean language program may be deemed eligible to
reapply if a scholar achieved TOPIK level 5 or above.)

⑨ If you can not submit the original documents, should submit notarized or apostilled copies.
⑩ Any fraudulent or incomplete applications will be disregarded and even if a scholar has
