대전 최초의 순수 민간 사학! 1980년 개교한 대전대학교는 대전 순수민간사학으로서 그 동안 국가와
지역사회 그리고 학생들로부터 신뢰와 사랑을 받는 대학으로 성장해 왔습니다. 그 동안의 경험과 지혜를 바탕
으로 변화와 도전의 시대를 맞이하여 명실상부한 세계 수준의 특별한 학부중심대학으로 성장하고자 앞으로의
새로운 10년을 향한 창조적 도전을 목표로 고등교육 환경의 변화 및 대학 정책의 변화에 따라 교육브랜드 비전
2020을 수립하여 전 구성원이 노력을 기울여 오고 있습니다.
V Plan 대학교육 본연의 질과 가치를 명심하며, 차별화된 명품교육을 만들어 가기 위한 환경과 여건을
조성하고 있습니다. 2010년에 발표된 교육브랜드의 비전과 콘셉트를 바탕으로 「튼튼한 기본」과 「특별한 경험」을
갖춘 인재를 육성하고자 하며 이의 실행을 위해 「V Plan」을 계획하고 있습니다. 더불어 지역사회와
함께하는 문화프로그램 등을 통해 지역사회 발전에 견인차 역할을 수행하고자 합니다.

2. Overview
Introducing Daejeon Daejeon is a metropolitan city belonging to 8 major metropolitan cities
(including Seoul) in Korea. Daejeon University is in Daejeon. Daejeon is located in the central part of
South Korea, so traveling is convenient (takes only 1 hour from Daejeon to Seoul by express train(KTX)),
prices are inexpensive, and more than 1.5 million Daejeon citizens use standard Korean. Therefore, Daejeon
is an ideal city for foreign students to study in Korea.
Introducing DJU! Deajeon University was founded in 1981 with Educational Philosophy
pursing development of nation, creation of culture, and contribution to society. Through more
than 50 Departments in 7colleges, we offer education with theory and practicality to help our
students have not only knowledge but also the right sense of values in globalized society

OR Score percentile: 80% or above on a 100 point scale
OR be ranked within the top 20% within one’s class.
(Exception: Previous or current GKS scholars must hold the grade of 90% or above on a 100 points scale or
be ranked within the top 10% within one’s class)
⑥ Applicants who have graduated from Korean high school or university are NOT eligible to apply.
(Applicants who have previously studied in a Korean university as exchange or visiting students CAN apply.)
⑦ Former applicants who had withdrawn from the scholarship after being selected as GKS(KGSP)
scholars (applicable to those who did not come to Korea after being selected as GKS scholars
and who had resigned from their studies) and who were disqualified during their scholarship
period are NOT eligible to apply.
(Exception: Former GKS scholar whose scholarship was forfeited due to a scholar’s failure to achieve
TOPIK level 3 or above after completing Korean language program may be deemed eligible to
reapply if a scholar achieved TOPIK level 5 or above.)
⑧ All documents submitted will NOT be returned to the applicants in any case.
⑨ If you can not submit the original documents, should submit notarized or apostilled copies.
⑩ Any fraudulent or incomplete applications will be disregarded and even if a scholar has
been selected, he or she will forfeit his or her scholarship if the application is found fraudulent.
⑪ All Procedures, evaluations and candidate recommendations will not be disclosed.
⑫ Applications and related documents should be submitted by designated date from DJU to
the University by post or e-mail(ssamuel@dju.kr)
