Ⅰ. 대학 소개
1. 연혁
인하대학교는 1954년 4월 하와이 교포 이주 50주년 기념사업으로 낙후된 우리나
라의 공업 기술 수준 향상을 위한 과학기술대학을 설립하고자 당시 대통령이던 이승만
박사의 발의로 설립하게 되었다. 인하대학교는 2006년 대학종합평가 ‘최우수 대학’ 선
정 및 중앙일보 대학종합평가 9위를 차지한 10위권의 명문대학으로 6년 연속
(2004~2009) 국내 Top 10 대학으로 선정되었으며, 2012년에는 QS 아시아 대학평가
에서 아시아 68위에 오르는 등 명문사학으로의 자리를 굳건히 자리잡고 있다. 2021년
에는 QS 세계대학평가 취업역량랭킹에서 국내 공동 9위를 하는 성과를 보였으며 글로
벌 우수 대학으로 성장해나가는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.

Ⅰ. Overview of the University

1. History and Introduction
Inha University was established in April 1954 at the initiative of then-President Dr. Lee
Seung-man to establish a science and technology university to improve the industrial technology
level of Korea, which is lagging behind as a project to commemorate the 50th anniversary of
Korean immigration to Hawaii. Inha University was selected as the top 10 universities in Korea for
six consecutive years (2004-2009) and ranked 9th in the JoongAng Ilbo University Comprehensive
Evaluation in 2006, ranking 68th in Asia in the QS Asia University Evaluation in 2012. In 2021, it
showed results that it tied for 9th in Korea in the QS World University Evaluation Employment
Competency Ranking and aims to grow into an excellent global university.
