Ⅰ. 대학 소개
1. 연혁
❍ 1947년에 설립된 전북대학교는 호남․충청 지역에서 최초로 설립된 국립대학으로,
지역과 국가발전을 이끌어온 글로벌 명문대학입니다. 가장 한국적인 도시, 천오
백년의 역사를 가진 전주에 메인 캠퍼스를 두고, 농생명 분야와 수의학 분야가
특화된 특성화캠퍼스(익산)를 비롯하여 총 7개의 캠퍼스를 운영하고 있습니다.
2. 특성
❍ 전북대학교는 교육과 연구, 산학협력, 국제화 분야를 강화하기 위해 다양한 제도
를 도입하여 실시하여 각종 대학 평가에서 우수대학으로 선정되었습니다. 현재

수료학점(석사 24학점, 박사 36학점)외에 학과 주임교수가 지정하는 선수과목(보
충학점)을 추가로 이수하여야 한다.

Ⅰ. Overview of the University

1. History
❍ Jeonbuk National University is a global prestigious university that has
contributed enormously to the development of region and the country. It
is the first national university in Honam and Chungcheong region
established in 1947. Its main campus is located in the most Korean city
Jeonju with 1500 years of rich history. Moreover, it has specialized
campus in Iksan for Agricultural Life Science and Veterinary Science field
and several industrial-academic cooperative campuses in Gochang,
Wanju, Jeongeup and Saemangeun-Gunsan area.
2. Key Information
❍ Jeonbuk National University introduces various systems in order to
enhance the field of education, research, academic-industrial
cooperation and internationalization and as a result, it was selected as
the remarkable university from many university evaluation institutions.
Currently, Jeonbuk National University has signed Memorandum of
Understanding(MOU) with 439 universities and institutions across 71
countries to strengthen international competitiveness and to carry
forward campus internationalization.
