Ⅰ. 대학 소개
1. 연혁
1948. 7. 충청남도 도립 공주사범대학 설립인가
1954. 4. 4년제 사범대학으로 개편
1991. 3. 종합대학교로 승격
1992. 3. 예산농업전문대학 통합
2001. 3. 공주문화대학 통합
2005. 3. 천안공업대학 통합
2021. 12. 7개 단과대학 144개 학부 및 전공, 1개 본부 3개 학부 및 전공,
1개 일반대학원 및 8개 특수대학원 운영

2. 특성
○ 입지적 장점: 충남 유일의 종합 국립대학으로써 세종특별자치시 정부청사와 근접한
공주캠퍼스, 공과대학으로 특성화된 천안캠퍼스, 농․생명식품분야를 중심
으로 특성화된 예산캠퍼스로 이루어져 있으며, 옥룡캠퍼스에서는 한
민족교육문화원이 위치하고 있음.
○ 한국문화 교육 컨텐츠 특성: 국립국제교육원의 “재외동포 장기교육과정” 위탁기관
으로써 재외동포를 위한 한국어 교육 및 전통문화체험
프로그램을 운영하고 있으며, 대학의 모든 외국인 학
생들에게 한국어 교육 및 문화체험을 제공할 수 있는
확대방안을 계획 하고 있음.
○ 역사적․지리적 특성: 공주시는 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재되어 있는 백제역사유적
지구 8곳 중 3곳인 공산성, 송산리고분군과 마곡사가 공주에
위치해 있음. 입학 후 외국인 학생들에게 공주시의 역사적인
특성으로 한국의 건축, 종교, 음식문화를 직접적 체험의 기회
제공이 가능함.

3. 지원자 유의사항
❍ 국립국제교육원: 국립국제교육원의 규정을 따라야함.
❍ 졸업 조건: 졸업 논문 심사일 기준 2년 이내 취득한 TOPIK 4급, 영어능력시험
TOEIC 750, TOEFL(PBT 530, CBT 197, iBT 71), TEPS 600(New
TEPS 326), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2 중 1개 취득

Ⅰ. Overview of the University

1. History
- 1948 Kongju College of Education established
- 1954 Changed to a four-year institution
- 1991 Elevated its status to Kongju National University
- 1992 Acquired the facilities of Yesan Agricultural College
- 2001 Acquired the facilities of Kongju Cultural College
- 2005 Acquired the facilities of Cheonan Technical College
- 2021 (current) 7 colleges 144 department&majors / 1 headquarter 3 department&majors
/ 1 general graduate school and 8 special graduate school

2. Key Information
○ Locational Efficiency: Kongju National University is the only national
university in Chungnam province. Gongju Campus is located closely to the
new administrative composite city Sejong, Cheonan campus specializes
engineering college, Yesan campus centrally specializes on the
agriculture-bio food, and Institution of Korea Culture and Education is
located in Okryong Campus.
○ Korean Culture Education Contents: As the consignment organization for
NIIED’s K-HED(Korean Homeland Education) program, the university
provides Korean language and traditional culture program’s for overseas
Korean residents, and plans to expand the Korean language and culture
education to all the international students in the university.
○ Historical and Geographical Characteristics: Gongsanseong fortress, Royal
Tomb of King Muryeong, and Magoksa Temple was selected as the Unesco
World Heritage among 8 places of Baekjae historical sites and three sites
are all located in Gongju City. After admission, international students will be
provided with an opportunity to visit the historical sites of Gongju City and
see and learn Korean architecture, food and religion.

❍ Period: February 14th(Mon), 2022 ~ March 25th(Fri), 2022 (6 Weeks)
※ Once the schedule is confirmed, it will be announced on the university website.
❍ Documents: Same as the GKS requirements

3. Important Notes
❍ Applicants should fulfill the requirements of NIIED.
❍ In order for students to graduate either the master’s degree or Doctoral
degree program, all international students must submit one of the language
efficiency test result as below.
- Level 4 and above in TOPIK, TOEIC 750, TOEFL(PBT 530, CBT 197, iBT 71)
TEPS 600(New TEPS 326), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2 and above
- The test result should be within the 2 years of expiration date before the thesis
evaluation period.
4. Further Notice
❍ Dormitory: International students will been given a dormitory room on priority
selection.
❍ Prayer Room: Muslim prayer room is provided for the international students
in the global lounge.
❍ International student program: monthly operation of various support
programs for international students.
- Korean culture experience, buddy counseling, international student
competition, exchange meeting, visa agency service, etc.
❍ Korean Lecture: Korean class is provided every semester for free.
