1. 연혁
이화여자대학교는 1886년에 설립된 여성 전문 교육기관으로서 지난 137년 동안 한국을 대표하는 세계적인 명문사학
으로 자리매김 해왔습니다. 서울 중심부에 소재하고 있는 세계 최대 규모의 여자종합대학인 이화여대는 약 25만여
명의 졸업생을 배출해 왔으며 현재 2만 2천여 명의 재학생들이 15개의 단과대학과 15개의 대학원에서 수학하고 있

2. 특성
이화여자대학교는 2008년 정부초청 외국인 장학생 수학 대학으로 선정된 이래, 다양한 국적의 정부초청 외국인 장학

생들이 다수 이화에 입학하였으며 현재 58개국 114명의 정부초청 외국인 장학생들이 본교의 여러 분야에서 수학하

3. 유의사항 (중요)
가. 본교 학위과정은 여학생만 지원 가능함.

연락할 수 있음. 따라서 긴급 연락이나 합격자 안내를 위해 입학원서 작성 시 신속히 연락할 수 있는 지원자 본

1. History
Ewha Womans University was founded in 1886 as the first educational institution for women in
Korea. Ewha has been one of Korea’s most prestigious private universities and the largest
women’s university in the world. More than 250,000 students have graduated from Ewha, and

2. Key Information
Since 2008, Ewha Womans University has been selected as one of the Global Korea

A. Ewha Womans University accepts applications from female applicants only.

Therefore, it is important that applicants provide an accurate phone number and email address at
which they can be directly reached. Ewha Womans University will not be responsible for any
disadvantages caused by providing incorrect contact information.

D. Submitted documents will not be returned.
E. If a misrepresentation is discovered during the application process, or the applicant is found to
have made any alterations to the application materials (including those submitted by a proxy) or
perpetrated any type of fraud, the applicant will be denied admission. If the applicant has already
registered, they will be asked to leave the University. This applies even if the fraudulence has
had no immediate effect on the applicant’s admission. The university may prohibit any and all
such applicants whose admission has been revoked due to this issue from reapplying in the
future.
