1. 연혁
순천대학교는 1935년 개교 이래 ‘진리‧창조’의 교육 이념 아래 우리나라 남해안
중심권에서 최고 인재를 양성하는 ‘학문 연구와 교육’의 전당으로 자리매김해왔습니다.
학문의 연구와 교육의 기회균등을 통해 젊은 인재를 육성하여 민족의 독립을 성취하
고자 했던 우석 김종익 선생의 건학이념을 계승하여 유능한 인재를 양성하여 국가와 인류
사회 발전에 기여함을 교육목적으로 합니다.
급변하는 4차 산업혁명 시대에 순천대학교는 미래사회가 요구하는 지성과 품성을 갖춘

❍ 제출 서류: NIIED 기본 제출 서류 + 지도(예정)교수의 입학 허가서(추천서)
※ 모든 서류는 집게 또는 클립을 사용하여 묶을 것 (스테이플러 사용 금지)
※ 지원자는 해당학과 교수와 사전 상담 후 교수 추천서를 제출하여야 함

3. 지원자 유의 사항
❍ 공관, 대학 중 1개의 기관을 통해서만 지원 가능 (이중 지원자는 선발 대상에서 제외)
❍ 모든 서류는 영어나 한국어 이외의 언어로 되어있는 경우, 반드시 한글 또는 영문
공증 번역본을 제출하여야 하며, 학위증은 원본대조필한 사본 제출 가능
❍ 지원 시 대학 및 국립국제교육원에 제출한 서류 및 기록물 일체는 반환 불가

❍ 제출 서류의 내용이 허위 또는 부정확하거나 구비서류가 미비된 경우에는 심사대상
에서 제외되며 합격 후 발각될 시 합격 취소

Ⅰ. Overview of the University

1. History
Since its establishment in 1935, Sunchon National University has been working with the
community to explore truth, practice justice, and implement freedom. The educational
objective of SCNU is to teach/study academic theories and application methods,
pursuing truth and creativity, and to develop competent human resources contributing
to development of the nation and human society, by inheriting the educational
ideals of Kim, Jong-ik, who wanted to promote the nation’s independence by
providing equal opportunities of education by young people.

after consulting with the SCNU professor in your applying major

3. Important Notes
❍ Applicants are restricted to apply either for the Embassy or for the Regional
University track or will be eliminated.
❍ Submitted documents will not be returned to the applicant.
❍ Incomplete or incorrect documents will result in the disqualification of applicants.
❍ If the transcript is not indicated in grade point average(GPA), attachment
of transcript converted into 4.0/4.3/4.5 or 5.0 scale is required

❍ Applicants must submit one of three types of documents about the Degree
certificate; ①Apostille documents, ②Notarized by Korean consulates in
foreign countries or ③Notarized by consulates in Korea

the issuing institution, confirming that they are the same with the originals
❍ Transferring to a different university under this scholarship is NOT permitted.
❍ Requirements for Graduation : For graduation, every graduate school international
students must take a Korean language class (100hours/College of Humanities &
Social Sciences, 60hours/College of Engineering & Natural Sciences)
If foreign students have more than TOPIK 4, the student will be exempted.
❍ Evey course(lecture) in Sunchon National University is offered in Korean
❍ Selection process will be based on the screening of the application documents.
