❍ 주요 정부정책사업 선정
- 계명대학교는 교육역량강화사업과 학부교육선진화선도대학지원사업(ACE), 대학인
문역량강화사업(CORE), 사회맞춤형 산학협력 선도대학(LINC+) 육성사업 및
정부초청 외국인 장학 프로그램 등의 정부 지원 사업에 선정되어 정부로부터
다량의 지원금을 받았을 뿐만 아니라, 지자체 및 기업체와 손잡고 디지털문화
와 패션산업분야 등 다방면에서 전문가를 양성하는 산/관/학 협동 프로그램을
실시하는 등 세계 초일류 대학으로의 진입을 위하여 최선을 다하고 있습니다.
❍ 해외 자매대학 및 기관과의 국제교류와 외국인 유학생 보유
- 현재 64개국 414개 대학 및 기관과 긴밀한 네트워크 구축과 교류를 통하여 다양
한 프로그램(Erasmus+, Mevelana, ACUCA, 공자아카데미 장학 프로그램 등)
을 실시하고 있습니다. 이에 나이지리아, 몽골, 우즈베키스탄 등 약 65여개
국가 2,200명의 학생이 한국어학당, 학부 및 대학원 과정에서 공부하고 있습
니다. 또한, 다문화에 대한 배려로서 이슬람권 학생들을 위한 기도실도 설치‧
운영하고 있습니다.
❍ 외국인 유학생을 위한 다양한 문화체험 프로그램 보유
- KMU-CCAP(계명대학교 외국인학생과 함께 하는 다문화교실), 현장 학습, 한국
문화체험교실, 외국어 클리닉 프로그램, 세계의 날, 버디프로그램 등 외국인학
생들이 참여할 수 있는 많은 프로그램들을 매학기 진행하고 있습니다. 프로그
램을 통해 많은 친구들을 만나고, 이를 통해 많은 것들을 배우고 지역 내 구성
원으로서의 소속감도 느낄 수 있습니다.
❍ 전국 최상위 수준의 한국어학당 및 연수 프로그램
- 계명대학교 한국어학당은 이미 오래전부터 선교사와 교환 학생들을 대상으로 한
국어 교육이 진행되어 왔습니다. 2002년에는 한국어교원 양성과정이 개설되고
2003년 이후에는 유학을 목적으로 하는 외국인 학생들의 수가 급증하면서 현
재 40여 개국에서 온 200여명의 외국인 학생들이 공부하는 한국어교육기관으
로 성장하였습니다. 이러한 성장과 함께 2007년 12월에는 독자적인 건물을
신축하고 최신 시설의 교육 환경을 갖추기에 이르렀습니다.
❍ 지리적 위치
- 계명대학교가 위치한 대구는 고속열차(KTX)로 이동시 서울까지 약 2시간, 부산까지
약 50분 소요되는 한국의 교통중심지입니다. 또한, 역사의 도시인 경주와 안동
등은 차량으로 1시간 30분 내로 갈 수 있으며, 교통이 매우 편리하여 유학 기
간 동안 한국에서 알찬 시간을 보낼 수 있는 좋은 기회를 가질 수 있을 것입

2. Key Information
❍ Selected University for Primary Government Projects
- Keimyung University has been selected for various government projects such
as the Advancement of College Education(ACE), Initiative for COllege of
Humanities’ Research and Education(CORE), Leaders in INdustry-university
Cooperation+(LINC+) and KGSP(Korea Government Scholarship Program),
etc. Keimyung University has been supported by supports of the
government, and we have made efforts on industrial-academic
cooperation with companies and local government such as Digital,
Fashion, etc.
❍ International Relationship with Sister Universities and Institutions & a Variety
of International Students
- As Keimyung University has close relationship with 414 sister universities
and institutions in 64 countries, Keimyung has implemented a variety of
programs such as Erasmus+, Mevelana, ACUCA, Confucius Scholarship
Program, etc. Furthermore, about 1,200 international students from
approximately 70 countries such as Nigeria, Mongolia, Uzbekistan are
studying at Korean Language Institute, undergraduate school and
graduate school students. We also established oratory for islamic
students as consideration of multi-culture.
❍ Cultural Experience Program
- We have provided various cultural experience program such as
KMU-CCAP(Keimyung University-Cross Cultural Awareness Program),
Field Trip, Korean Culture Experience Program, Language Advisory
Support Program, International Day, etc. for international students per
semester. As students are involved in programs, they can have many
opportunities to make new relationship, and feel like a member of the
community and Daegu.
❍ One of the Top Koran Language Institutes for Korean Language Program
- Korean Language Institute of Keimyung University has implemented the Korean
language program for missionaries and exchange students. Also,
educational procedure for Korean lecturers in 2002, and Keimyung attracted
about 200 international students from approximately 40 countries currently
after 2003. For the grow of the Korean Language Institute, new
building(International Education Center) was established with state of the
art educational environment in 2007.
