2. 특성
- 동서대학교는 대학의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 특성화를 대학 발전의 핵심

총 5개 사업단(디지털콘텐츠학부, 디자인학부, 컴퓨터공학부, 메카트
로닉스융합공학부, 미디어커뮤니케이션학부)이 선정됨
- 동서대학교는 세계 37개국 191개 대학 및 연구소와 학술교류협정을
체결하였고, 현재 활발하게 교류하고 있으며, 미국 호프국제대학 내
미주캠퍼스와 중국 중남재경정법대학 내 한중뉴미디어학부를 설립하
여 세계 속의 글로벌 스탠다드 교육 모델로 인정받고 있음

1) Field of special course
- Dongseo University, founded in 1992, is a young and dynamic
university. It has become one of Korea’s top 10 universities in its
specialized fields: IT, Design, Film, and Digital Contents. DSU
was chosen as the best university in globalization and is now
competing with educational institutions throughout the world. Our
slogan “Top Ten & To the World” reflects a resolve to become a
leader in education. DSU conducts active student and professor
exchanges with 37 universities in 189 countries, and offers seven
dual degree programs with world-renowned universities.

▶ Global Studies Institute (GSI)
- DSU also has a Global Studies Institute offering undergraduate
degrees taught entirely in English. This includes the Division of
Digital Contents and the Departments of Film & Video, Business
Administration, Computer Engineering, and International Studies.
▶ GLAP (Global Liberal Arts Program)
- The Global Liberal Arts Program (GLAP) is a Pioneering and
ambitious project that exposes students to global diversity,
fosters global communication, and encourages global leadership
through courses taught in English.

3. Internationalization
- DSU has a global academic network including 191 sister institutions
in 37 countries. It operates 2+2 joint degree programs in Lithuania,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and China, and collaborates actively
through many short term programs and collective forums.
- DSU has also established a branch campus at Hope International
University in the U.S. and a branch campus at Zhongnan University
of Economics at Law in China. To these campuses it sends over
250 students annually.
- In 2013, DSU was ranked among the top 50 Asian universities for
internationalization in a study by the British university rankings
company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) with the Chosun Ilbo.
