2. 입학 전형

 3. 지원자 유의 사항
❍ 한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 3급 이상 입학 가능
단, 국제학부>글로벌한국학전공 (이전, 한국어교육학과)은 TOPIK 5급 이상만 지원가능
단, 국제학부> 글로벌자율전공>글로벌비즈니스 (트랙)은 IELTS 5.5 및 TOPIK 3급 이상
동시 충족자만 지원 가능
❍ 대부분의 과목은 한국어로 100% 수업이 진행됨. 단, 국제학부 글로벌비즈니스(GBA: lobal
Business Administration)는 영어트랙으로서 GBA 관련 과목은 영어로 진행하나 그 외의 과목
100% 한국어로 수업 진행함

❍ 졸업요건 한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 4급 이상 필수 취득

❍ 지원 서류 중 졸업 증명서, 성적증명서, 출생(가족) 증명서는 반드시 대한민국 대사관의

영사 확인필 또는 어포스티유 (Apostille) 확인 필수. 영어 외 현지어로 된 서류는 공증 번
역본(영어 또는 한국어)을 함께 제출해야 함.

❍ 기숙사 안내
학생기숙사는 총 3개의 동으로 이루어져 있으며 1,300명 가량을 수용할 수 있는 시설이다.
기숙사의 모든 방은 최첨단 시스템을 갖추고 있고, 모두 2인 1실이다. 지하에는 운동시설,
편의시설, 식당 등이 있다. 또는 모든 시스템이 ‘카드시스템’으로 운영되며 출입구는 물론

엘리베이터와 계단, 사실 등 모든 시설은 카드가 없이는 이용이 불가능하다.

2. Application Process
- Application Period: “Tentatively” starting September to middle of October, 2022, but the
accurate dates will be posted on Busan University of Foreign Studies website > General
Notice (Bulletin) https://bufs.ac.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=notice_uni as soon as more detailed
official information is received including the application deadline from the NIIED. It is
 advised that the would-be applicants keep a close watch on the updated information.

- Required documents: the same as NIIED’s requirements

- Qualification of Submission: the same as NIIED’s requirements
- Process: application submission→1st round of Selection/Interview→2nd round of Selection
→2nd round of Selection→Annoucement of Result→Pre-departure Health Check-up→
Issuance of Certificate of Admission→Apply for Visa→Entry to Korea

- Note: If you are applying through GKS-U University Track, all the application documents
have to be combined in one single PDF file and must be initially emailed to the
prospective host university official, followed by the original physical (hard) copies by
international post. The address will be posted on the GKS notice in due time.

3. Important Notes
- 1) Applicant’s diploma, 2) Academic transcripts, 3) Birth certificate or Family
Registration Certificate have to be either Korean-Consul Certified or Apostille Certified.
The said documents not bearing an original Korean-Consul Certified or Apostille Certified
stamps will not be accepted as authentic documents.
If the documents are printed in the local languages but not in English, you are also
required to attach notarize copies of English translation.
Note: The following documents will NOT be accepted as authentic documents and your
application will get rejected:
- Mere submission of only your original hard copy of diploma and academic transcript
without bearing Korean-consul certified or Apostille certified stamps

4. Language Requirements
◯ Minimum qualification of language proficiency for most majors
- Admission: TOPIK Level 3 or higher
- Graduation: TOPIK Level 4 or higher
- Note: TOPIK Level 5 or higher, required for applicants seeking admission into Global
Korean Studies (formerly called, Department of Korean Language Education) under
DIS
- Note: Both IELTS 5.5 in all categories and TOPIK level 3 or higher, required for
applicants seeking admission into Global Business Administration Track under DIS
- Major courses offered by Global Business Administration (GBA) Track under DIS are
instructed in English but courses non-related to GBA discipline are 100% taught in
 Korean.
- Almost all the undergraduate courses are instructed 100% in Korean.

5. Others
❍ On-campus dormitory
The dormitories consist of three buildings accommodating approximately 1,300 students
in total. The occupants will be assigned in double-occupancy rooms with a built in
bathroom and access to wi-fi. In the basement are sport facilities, amenities, and a
cafeteria. The dormitory is operated by the card systems, and the smart card will
allow you to have access to facilities such as the doorway, elevators, and stairways.
