Suffering

Dear ______________,

Amid the COVID - 19 pandemic, we all need some comfort and hope. I am writing to you today to share
a positive message from the Bible.

Many wonder if God is causing our problems and if suffering will ever end.

Not only does the Bible assure us that God does not cause our problems (James 1:13) but it also offers
hope with a promise from God at Revelation 21:3,4. There we learn that He will do away with all pain
and suffering.

In today's troubled world anxiety and many troubles surround us and many find dealing with it extremely

Even if you feel like there is no escape, you can take comfort in knowing that God will always be there
for you. God promises at Isaiah 41:10 “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am

Does God Notice You?

Dear ____________,

I am writing to you today to share a comforting thought from the scriptures.

In today's troubled world some may think, with all the billions of people on the planet, does God notice
me personally?

Jesus Christ, who knows the Creator better than anyone else, taught us at Matthew 10:29-31 “Two
sparrows sell for a coin of small value, do they not? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without
your Father’s knowledge. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. So have no fear; you are
worth more than many sparrows.”

You can rest assured that God is keenly interested in our welfare and watches over us with loving
concern.

also gets stronger.

The Bible tells us that even when you feel like you have no one to turn to, you can always turn to God

Does God Have a Name? - Scripture Only Template

Does God Have a Name?

Dear ________________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique Bible message.

Have you ever wondered if God had a personal name? The Bible actually mentions the names of many
gods. But did you know that there is one name that is used more frequently than any of the others, though
it has been removed from many translations?

The first part of the Bible was originally written in Hebrew. In the original text God’s name translates to
YHWH and in english it’s translated to Jehovah. We can read that in Psalms 83:18.

Just as a man can have many appropriate titles and a unique and personal name, God does too. Since
Jehovah’s name is used more than 7,000 times in the Bible we know that he wants us to know and use it.

You may wonder, what is God like? Does He care for us? And how can we draw close to Him? To
answer these questions and more, download a free copy of the brochure entitled Good News From God at

Does God Exist?

Dear ______________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique message.

Many today do not know whether or not to believe in the existence of a god. Do you believe that God
exists?

The Bible provides compelling evidence that God exists. It encourages us to build faith in God, not by
blindly believing religious assertions, but by using our own power of reason and mental perception. Let
us consider a point of reasoning from the Bible.

When you see a house, do you think it must have just appeared all on its own? Of course not. Someone
had to build it. In the same way, the existence of an orderly universe containing life points to a Creator.
At Hebrews 3:4 the Bible says “Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who
constructed all things is God.”

What is God like? - Scripture Only Template

What is God like?

Dear ______________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique message.

Have you ever wondered what God is like?

Since no human has ever seen God because he is a Spirit, you may have never thought of him having his
own personality. Nevertheless, we can discern God’s personality from the things he has made. For
example, the variety of fruits and flowers tells us of his love and wisdom. (Romans 1:20) By reading the
Bible we can learn what God likes and what he does not like, how he treats people, and how he reacts in
different situations.

Can You Find God? - Scripture Only Template

Can You Find God?

Dear ________________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique Bible message.

Many today may believe that we could never know God at all because he is completely incomprehensible

The Bible frankly acknowledges that there are some things about God that are difficult for humans to
understand, but just because we cannot fully comprehend certain aspects of God does not mean that we
cannot get to know him at all.

By reading the Bible, we see that it portrays a clear picture of Jehovah God. He is far from being
incomprehensible. In fact, the Creator wants you to get to know him. There is a promise in the Bible at 1
Chronicles 28:9 “If you search for him, he will let himself be found by you.”

You may wonder, how it will benefit me to draw close to God? What is God like? Does He care for us?

Dear __________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique message with you.

Many Christian denominations teach that God is a Trinity. If we look in the bible though, God is never
described as being part of a Trinity.

Note these Bible passages:

“Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.”— Deuteronomy 6:4.

“This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom
you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”— John 17:3.

Prayer

Dear ____________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique scriptural thought.

How do you view prayer? The Bible can help you to view prayer, not as a feel-good therapy, but as a
precious means to draw close to God.

Although the Bible says that Jehovah God knows everything, it also shows that He is keenly interested in
our innermost thoughts because he wants us to draw closer to him. That is why Jesus encouraged his
followers to pray (Matthew 6:6-8). The more we share our thoughts with our Creator, the more we will
draw close to him.

Dear ____________,

Have you ever wondered, will God help me if I pray?

The answer is yes. God listens to all who come to him with the right attitude, even if you haven’t prayed
before.

You need not fear that God is so distant that he is not concerned with your problems. At Psalms 138:6 the
Bible says: “Jehovah is high, and yet the humble one he sees; but the lofty one he knows only from a
distance.” God observes details about you that even you are not aware of. How much more, then, will he

Dear ____________,

Everyone is affected by stress in some way. Learning how to deal with it can be important for both your

Stress in itself is not necessarily harmful. The issue, really, is how to manage it. For good reason, the
Bible says: “Never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties.” (Matthew
6:34.) Continually focusing on worst-case scenarios does little more than drain you emotionally. And
what you fear may not happen!

Forgiveness is the act of pardoning an offender. In the Bible, the Greek word translated “forgiveness”

means that you simply need to let go of a matter, for your own well-being and that of your family.

Many people today wonder how life came to be. Knowing how life came about can be an important step

Today it is taught that creation is a myth and that evolution is a fact. Consider this; scientists don’t agree
on evolution. Despite decades of research, they have yet to come up with an explanation for evolution that
they all can agree on. If scientists can’t agree on evolution—and they’re supposed to be the experts—are
you wrong to question the theory?

Reasons to trust the Bible - Science

Dear___________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique Bible message.

Many may wonder if you can trust the Bible, afterall, it’s an old book. Although written long ago, the
Bible's passages are remarkably modern and scientifically sound.

Some 3,500 years ago, the Bible stated that the earth is hanging “upon nothing.” (Job 26:7) This scripture
shows that the earth is suspended in empty space, even when many ancient peoples believed that the
world was a flat disk supported by a giant or an animal.

Even though it is an ancient book and touches on many subjects, the Bible contains no scientific
inaccuracies. Does not such a book merit our consideration?

earth to be filled with happy, healthy people. But God’s original purpose of an earthly paradise is in stark
contrast from what we see today.

and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever”

I am writing to you today to share a unique message.

Do you find the Bible to be just an outdated book of stories?

The Bible can be likened to a well-written instruction manual. It is a manual for human life that God, the
manufacturer, as it were, has made available to us, the users.

The Bible alerts readers to practices that may compromise the safe and reliable operation of the
“product”—our life.

You may wonder, how can the bible really benefit my life? What is God like? Why should I follow his
direction? To answer these questions and more, please visit www.jw.org.

Daily Bible Reading

Dear ______________,

I am writing to you today to share an encouraging thought.

Have you ever thought about reading the Bible but held off because it seems boring or hard to
understand? Millions around the world feel the same way.

Reading the Bible, however, can be very rewarding, as it can help us to live a more happy and satisfying
life. At Isaiah 48:17, 18, it explains that paying attention to God’s commandments by reading His word
the Bible can bring us much peace.

Indeed, the Bible is a book that is beneficial for all things (2 Timothy 3:16). It can help us make good
decisions, make real friends, cope with stress, and learn the truth about God.

Please visit our website, www.jw.org, for more information about the Bible’s benefits and how you can
make reading it simpler and more interesting.

Who Controls the World?

Dear ______________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique message.

When we look around the world today, we see that many are suffering due to disease, food shortages,
natural disasters, and war. Many can’t help but wonder who or what is causing the problems that we see
across the globe. The Bible reveals that Satan the Devil is in control of the world (1 John 5:19).

However, there is hope for all, as God’s Word explains that God is determined to bring Satan’s control
over mankind to an end. At Hebrews 2:14, it states that God will “bring to nothing the one having the
means to cause death, that is, the Devil”.

The Bible explains how and when God will undo all of the damage that Satan has caused, why we can
trust this promise, and what the world will be like after its ruler is removed.

Death

Dear ___________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique and comforting Bible message.

One of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Do you think the dead can
ever live again?

The Bible often compares death to sleep (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what
is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything.

There is a promise of hope in the Bible. It teaches that God can awaken the dead as if from sleep and give
them life again. At Acts 24:15 it says “There is going to be a resurrection.”.

The Bible offers much needed comfort for those who are grieving and explains God’s promise of bringing
the dead back to life.

Why do People Die? - Scripture Only Template

Why do People Die?

Dear ___________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique and comforting Bible message.

It’s natural to wonder why people die, especially when we lose someone close to us.

The first humans, Adam and Eve, lost their lives because they sinned against God. Death was the only
possible outcome of their rebellion against God.

Adam passed on the defect of sin to all his descendants. The Bible says: “Through one man sin entered
into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.”
(Romans 5:12) All people die because they all sin.

God promises a time when “he will actually swallow up death forever.” (Isaiah 25:8) To remove death, he
must eliminate its root cause, which is sin. God will do this through Jesus Christ.

Tragedy

Dear ____________,

I am writing to you today to share a comforting thought from the scriptures.

Tragedy can affect anyone, young and old.

A scripture you may find encouraging is 2 Corinthians 4:17, 18. It says: “Though the tribulation is
momentary and light, it works out for us a glory that is of more and more surpassing greatness and is
everlasting; while we keep our eyes, not on the things seen, but on the things unseen. For the things seen
are temporary, but the things unseen are everlasting.”

That last verse was powerful to me. Suffering is temporary, but what God promises for the future is
everlasting.

Tragedy 2

Dear ____________,

I am writing to you today to share a comforting scriptural thought.

Have you ever encountered a trial that seemed unbearable? 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 brings out that God is able
to comfort us through any trial. He promises to give you “the peace of God that surpasses all
understanding.”

If you do encounter an unexpected trial do not be afraid to express your emotions. Remember that even
Jesus “gave way to tears.”. Getting enough rest and sleep is also important. This will make it easier to
cope with a distressing situation.

Even if you feel overwhelmed, keep your mind focused on God. During his trials, Job said: “Let the name
of Jehovah continue to be praised.” (Job 1:21, 22) Like Job, place Jehovah’s name and his will above
your own worries. When matters do not turn out as you wish they would have, do not give up hope. Trust
God completely. “‘I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,’ declares Jehovah, ‘thoughts
of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope.’” (Jeremiah 29:11).

To answer this question, let’s look in the bible at James 1:13. There we read “When under trial, let no one

What is Hell?- Scripture Only Template

What is Hell?

Dear ___________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique and comforting Bible message.

Some Bible translations use the word “hell” for the Hebrew word “Sheol” and the matching Greek word
“Hades,” both of which refer to the common grave of mankind. (Psalm 16:10; Acts 2:27) Many people
believe in a fiery hell, however, the bible teaches otherwise.

The bible teaches that the dead are conscious of nothing. They do not go somewhere to be tortured after
dying.

Eternal torment would violate God’s justice. When the first man, Adam, sinned, God told him that his
punishment would simply be to pass out of existence: “Dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis
3:19) God would have been lying if he were actually sending Adam to a fiery hell. God does not lie.

Who go to Heaven? - Scripture Only Template

Who go to Heaven?

Dear ___________,

I am writing to you today to share a unique and comforting Bible message.

Have you ever wondered, Who goes to heaven?

God selects a limited number of faithful Christians who, after their death, will be resurrected to life in
heaven. (1 Peter 1:3, 4) Those selected serve alongside Jesus as kings and priests.

The Bible indicates at Revelation 7:4 that 144,000 people will be resurrected to heavenly life. Those “who
are called and chosen” to rule with Christ in the Kingdom are referred to as a “little flock.” This shows
that they would be relatively few in comparison with the complete number of Jesus’ sheep.

All others have a different hope. At Psalms 37:11, 29, & 34 we read that God promises everlasting life on
a paradise earth for most good people.

Dear __________,

In your opinion, is abortion a personal choice or a question of morality?

Life is sacred to God, and he views even an embryo as a distinct, living being. God stated at Exodus 21:
22, 23 that a person would be called to account for injuring an unborn child. So, in his eyes, killing an
unborn child is murder.

What, though, if an emergency situation at the time of childbirth forces a couple to choose between letting

When was Jesus Born - Scripture Only Template

When was Jesus Born

Dear ______________,

I am writing to you today to share an interesting bible message.

Did you know that the Bible does not give a specific answer to the question when was Jesus born? What
the Bible does provide are events surrounding his birth that have led many to conclude that he was not
born on December 25 or even in the winter time.

The first event is Caesar Augustus issuing a decree ordering “all the inhabited earth to be registered.”
Everyone had to register in “his own city,” which might have required a journey of a week or more. This
would most likely not have happened in the winter time since many would be unwilling to make a trip
during that time.

The next are the shepherds that came to visit Jesus. They would not have been out in the fields during the
winter time, it would have been too cold.

We can estimate when Jesus was born by counting backward from his death on Passover, Nisan 14 in the
spring of the year 33 C.E. (John 19:14-16) Jesus was about 30 years old when he began his three-and-a-
half-year ministry, so he was born in the early fall of 2 B.C.E.—Luke 3:23

Have you ever wondered why Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t celebrate Christmas?

A main reason is that Jesus commanded that we commemorate his death, not his birth. (Luke 22:19, 20)
Furthermore, There is no proof that Jesus was born on December 25; his birth date is not recorded in the
Bible.

Although we choose not to celebrate Christmas ourselves, we respect each person’s right to decide for

Dear ______________,

I am writing to you today to share an interesting bible message.

Did you know that the celebration of Easter is not based on the Bible. If you look into its history, though,
you will see the true meaning of Easter—it is a tradition based on ancient fertility rites.

The American Book of Days well describes the origin of Easter: “There is no doubt that the Church in its
early days adopted the old pagan customs and gave a Christian meaning to them.”

The Bible warns against worshipping God by following traditions or customs that displease him. 2
Corinthians 6:17 states: “‘Separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing.’”
Easter is a pagan holiday that those who want to please God will avoid.

Dear ______________,

I am writing to you today to share an interesting bible message.

The Bible does not mention Halloween. However, both the ancient origins of Halloween and its modern
customs show it to be a celebration based on false beliefs about the dead and invisible spirits, or demons.

The Bible warns at Deuteronomy 18:10-12 that “There must never be anyone among you who . . .
consults ghosts or spirits, or calls up the dead.” While some view Halloween as harmless fun, the Bible
indicates that the practices associated with it are not. At 1 Corinthians 10:20, 21, the Bible says: “I do not
want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons
too.”

Dear _________ ,

Imagine a world filled with peace, one that is free of suffering, has plenty of food for all, and where we
can live in perfect health.

Can life like this be possible? Yes! It is because of what Jesus did for us. He came to earth for a very
important purpose and gave his life for those he loved.

Jesus asked us to commemorate his death. Although COVID-19 has prevented us from meeting together
this year, we still take seriously the command at Luke 22:19 where we are told “Keep doing this in
