UPs and Down of a Christian – MATTHEW 5:10-12

“Mapalad ang mga nilalait at inuusig ng mga tao, at pinaparatangan ng lahat ng uri
ng kasamaan na pawang kasinungalingan nang dahil sa akin. Magsaya kayo at magalak
sapagkat malaki ang inyong gantimpala sa langit. Gayundin ang ginawa ng mga tao sa
mga propetang nauna sa inyo.”

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and
falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad,
because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the
prophets who were before you.

What life do you have if Jesus Christ is your Lord?

1. Target ka ng kaaway kapag sumunud ka sa Panginoon.

2. Pahirap ng pahirap ang journey mo papalapit sa Panginoon

Do not surprise when you encounter trouble.

Following Jesus includes: blessing, breakthrough, miracle

but following Jesus also includes pain and suffering (sakit and kahirapan)
Keep moving, keep serving, keep praying, kasi may magandang destiny and inihanda ng
Panginoon sa atin. We never surrender, hindi tayo susuko kahit hindi madali ang
buhay. Like David, kahit my Goliat sa ating daanan, hindi tayo matitinag. Sa kabila
ng ating matinding pinagdadaanan. Buo ang Pangako ng ating Panginoon sa atin.

The enemy will discourage us.
1. Paano ko susundin ang Dios kung ganito ang aking buhay?
2. More complains.Sisirain ng kaaway ang buhay mo.

Kasi something is great is happening in the future.

we are being pressed to see the benefits.

Lord pag dadaan yung pagsubok, palakasin mu na lang ako

Kasi hindi accidente na aatakahin ka ng kaaway. it is intentional that the enemy is
putting pressure in your life.

Magpakatatag kayo kasi there will be shaking your in your life.

Kasi merun special favor ang Panginoon sa atin.

Kapag matindi ang purpose mo, matindi ang pagdadaanan mo!

We are so blessed kasi hindi tayo sumusuko, nagpapatuloy pa rin tayo

We are so blessed, bec. we know something that other people don't know, kaya tayo
nakakapagtiis, kaya tayo nakakapagsamba kahit tayo ay walang wala na.

Alam natin na hindi panghabang buhay ang ating pinagdadaanan, it is not permanent.
It is just a stage of life. Kasi hindi yan ang purpose ng Panginoon sa atin.Kasi
lahat ng bagay ay matatapos din.

Kahit malaki ang Goliat sa ating buhay, Greater is Jesus.

Kasi dahil sa pagsubok na yan mas lalong lumalakas ang ating
determination...tolerance....endurance....faith

Kasi may plano ang Panginoon, Mas maganda ang plano ng Panginoon kesa plano mo.
2 Corinthians 4:1 (Dahil sa habag ng Diyos, ibinigay niya sa amin ang paglilingkod
na ito kaya't hindi humihina ang aming loob)

Consider your problems and trials as Pure Joy.

Pain has purpose
Problem is not a prank!
God will never waste your pain. Kaya Huwag na huwag tayo susuko.Kasi may layunin
ang Panginoon.

We are not going to give up!

Espada... best example to be more effective

2 Cor 4: 16
16 Kaya't hindi kami nasisiraan ng loob. Kahit na humihina ang aming katawang-lupa,
patuloy namang pinalalakas ang aming espiritu araw-araw. 17 Ang bahagya at
panandaliang kapighatiang dinaranas namin ngayon ay magbubunga ng kagalakang walang
hanggan at walang katulad. 18 Kaya't ang paningin namin ay nakatuon sa mga bagay na
di-nakikita, at hindi sa mga bagay na nakikita. Sapagkat panandalian lamang ang mga
bagay na nakikita, ngunit walang hanggan ang mga bagay na di-nakikita.

What will you expect from the world?

The world will hates you, the world will not appreciate you!

2 Reasons why Christians are being persecuted based on Matt 5:10 -11

1. V10: For righteousness sake, our righteous life/standard

2. V11: For Gods sake, for following Jesus.

For identifying their life as part of Jesus Christ

*living on the teaching of God

1Peter 4:16
However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you
bear that name.

Keep in heart what we heard

Marami na ang tumalikod at napagod maglingkod
Bec. they do not keep the Word of God

Lahat ng bagay na hindi para sa Dios, Alisin

God needs a heart that is dedicated to him

Daniel: 15 years down to 85 years old, hindi siya nagbago sa commitmment niya sa
paglilingkod sa Panginoon.

Heb 2:1
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that
we do not drift away.

THE bible is preeminence as the source of reliable knowledge

And Absolutely trustworthy. The Word of God is not only Informational but
Transformational

God wants us to determine to reach the finish line.

James 1: 12
12 Pinagpala ang taong nananatiling tapat sa kabila ng mga pagsubok; sapagkat
matapos niyang malampasan ang pagsubok, tatanggap siya ng gantimpala ng buhay, na
ipinangako ng Panginoon[a] sa mga umiibig sa kanya.

Pain will make us better not Bitter

Rom 8: 18
Para sa akin, ang mga pagtitiis natin sa kasalukuyan ay hindi maihahambing sa
kaluwalhatiang ipahahayag sa atin balang araw.
