PRESENTATION ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation

of data gathered in this study.

1. Profile of the Respondents

1.1. Age

belong to age bracket of 40-49, while 4 or 8.33 percent

belong to age bracket of 60-69. The mean age is 47.62. This

implies that majority of the respondents are in their

adulthood period.

The above table shows that 30 or 62.50 percent are

males, while 18 or 37.50 percent are females. This implies

that majority of the respondents are males when the study

was conducted.

As analyzed on the above table, the statement “Conduct

tutorials for the out of school youth” achieve the highest

mean of 2.66 or “Well Implemented” as assessed by the

officials. This implies that there is a free educational

consultation in the barangay.

While, the statement “Assist in the implementation of

ALS” has the least mean of 2.20 or “Implemented”. This

implies that the respondents support the provision of ALS in

the barangay.

The category mean is 2.42 or “Well Implemented”. This

means that the respondents well implemented the services on

education.

Moreover, the statement “Assist in the implementation

of ALS” achieve the highest mean of 2.50 or “Well

Implemented” as evaluated by the social health workers.

This implies that the respondents support the implementation

of ALS in the barangay.

While, the statement “Provide assistance in the

distribution and retrieval of modules” has the least mean of

2.10 or “Implemented”. This implies that the respondents

assist in the distribution and retrieval of learning

materials of the students.

The category mean is 2.34 or “Well Implemented”. This

means that the respondents give importance to the

educational services.

In addition, the statement “Provide assistance in the

distribution and retrieval of modules” achieve the highest

mean of 2.40 or “Well Implemented” as evaluated by the

residents. This implies that the respondents provide

assistance in giving and receiving modules in the barangay.

the youth” has the least mean of 2.00 or “Implemented”. This

implies that the respondents provide programs and activities

that the education is part of the social services of the

barangays for they provide support to all the stakeholders.

As reflected on the above table, the Barangay Officials

assessed item number 1 “Relief goods, cash and house

subsidies distribution during calamities and pandemic” is

the highest with a mean of 2.65 or “Well Implemented”. This

implies that enough supplies such as goods, clothing, cash

etc. are distributed equally during a devastating

phenomenon.

While, item number 4 “Open-line communication between

barangay officials and residence” has the least mean of 2.15

or “Implemented”. This implies that the barangay properly

disseminate information to avoid confusion and for the

residents to be updated at all times.

The category mean is 2.41 or “Well Implemented”. This

signifies that the respondents are implementing proper

social services in their respective areas in order to meet

the demands of their constituents.

As to the social health workers, item number 1 “Relief

goods, cash and house subsidies distribution during

calamities and pandemic” with a mean of 2.56 or “Well

Implemented”. This means that the respondents provide basic

commodities to the community during disaster.

While, “Out of youth programs and Day-Care Services”

has the least mean of 2.04 or “Implemented”. This means that

the respondents conduct activities that enhance the skills

of out of school youth in the barangay.

The category mean is 2.33 or “Implemented”. This

indicates that the responders are providing appropriate

social services in their locations to address the needs of

their citizens.

As assessed by the community residents, “Out of youth

programs and Day-Care Services” has the highest mean of 2.40

or “Well Implemented”. This means that the respondents

provide programs and seminars to out of school youth.

While, “Counselling and care for children in neglectful

or abusive situation” has the least mean of 1.98 or

support to women and children that suffered from abuse

For the Barangay Officials, item number 1 “Distribution

of vaccines for senior citizens, pregnant women and

immunization of infants” is the highest with a mean of 2.66

or “Well Implemented”. This implies that there is a

provision of medicines to the community.

While, item number 4 “Health emergency response” has

the least mean of 2.10 or “Implemented”. This implies that

the barangay prioritize the health of the community by

responding to their needs.

The category mean is 2.39 or “Well Implemented”. This

signifies that the respondents are implementing proper

social services relative to health.

As to the social health workers, item number 5 “General

Assembly meeting in Barangay to implement proper Health

Services” with a mean of 2.56 or “Well Implemented”. This

means that the respondents conduct programs that cater the

health services in the barangay.

While, “Free medical consultations provided with free

medicines and or vitamins” has the least mean of 2.04 or

“Implemented”. This means that the respondents provide free

meds and vaccines to protect the health of the community.

The category mean is 2.32 or “Implemented”. This

indicates that the respondents prioritize health services in

the community especially this time of pandemic.

As assessed by the community residents, “Free medical

consultations provided with free medicines and or vitamins”

has the highest mean of 2.42 or “Well Implemented”. This

means that the respondents enough medicines and vitamins to

the community to boost their immune system.

While, “Feeding programs for malnourish children” has

malnourished.

indicates that the responders always prioritize the health

of their constituents.

residents on the different programs and activities in the

barangay.

This means that the respondents assist the community in

looking for job opportunities.

While, “Posting of Barangay budget, financial

transactions and annual procurement” has the least mean of

2.10 or “Implemented”. This means that the respondents keep

the community updated on the financial status of the

barangay.

The category mean is 2.26 or “Implemented”. This

indicates that the respondents implemented the economic and

industrial promotion of the barangay.

As evaluated by the community residents, “Dissemination

of Barangay programs, activities and projects” has the

highest mean of 2.48 or “Well Implemented”. This means that

the respondents conduct programs and activities in the

barangay and always inform the community about it for them

to get involved as well.

As to the Barangay Officials, item number 1

garden, Barangay Hall and Court” has the least mean of 2.18

or “Implemented”. This implies that the barangay improve the

“Implemented”. This means that the proper waste disposal is

implemented in the barangay.

The category mean is 2.36 or “Implemented”. This

indicates that the respondents provide necessary facilities

that cater the needs of the community.

As assessed by the community residents, “Installing of

CCTV’s” has the highest mean of 2.48 or “Well Implemented”.

This means that the respondents monitor the community

through the utilization of CCTV.

While, “Garbage waste management and environmental

management system” has the least mean of 1.78 or

“Implemented”. This means that the respondents maintain the

cleanliness of the barangay by proper waste disposal.

Order Safety, hence the rejection of the null hypothesis at

0.05. This implies that the assessment of the two groups of

the respondents on the extent of implementation of the

social services delivery on Education, Social Welfare and

Development, Health and Nutrition and Public Order Safety do

not varies.

As seen on the above table, there is significant

relationship between the profile variables of the barangay

officials-respondents on other source of income and their

assessment their assessment on the extent of implementation

of the social services delivery along with Social Welfare

and Development and Health and Nutrition, hence the

rejection of the null hypothesis at 0.05. This means that

the profile variables of the respondents influence their

assessment on the extent of implementation of the social

services delivery along with Social Welfare and Development

and Health and Nutrition.

5. Dimension is Least Implemented

The dimension least implemented is “Education”.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary of findings the

conclusion and recommendations.

Summary of Findings

From the date gathered, the following findings were

delivered:

1. Profile of the Respondents

 The mean age is 47.62, males, married, high school

graduates, 2nd term, and no other source of

income.

2. Extent of Implementation of the Social Services


Delivery

 “Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture” obtain the

highest category mean of 2.30 or “Implemented”

 While, “Education” has the least category mean of

2.24 or “Implemented”.

3. Comparison Between the Assessment of the Two Groups of


Respondents on the Delivery of Social Services

 There is no significant difference among the

assessments of the three groups of respondents on the

extent of implementation of the social services

delivery relative to Education, Social Welfare and

4. Correlation between the Profile Variables of the Barangay


Officials-Respondents and their Assessment on the Extent of
Implementation of the Social Services Delivery

 There is significant relationship between the profile

variables of the barangay officials-respondents on

other source of income and their assessment their

assessment on the extent of implementation of the

social services delivery along with Social Welfare and

Development and Health and Nutrition.

5.Dimension is Least Implemented

 The dimension least implemented is “Education”.

6.Proposed Measures to address the Dimension that is Least


Implemented

 Conduct tutorial program to the out of school

youth

 Provide more learning materials to the community

Conclusion

Based on the results of the study, the barangay

officials deliver a competitive services to their

constituents. They make sure that they render the services

properly which includes Education, Social Welfare and

Development, Health and Nutrition, Public Order Safety and

Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture. They always provide

the needs of their stakeholder and meet the demands of their

expectations.

Recommendations

The researchers highly proposed the following

recommendations:

1. The barangay members should maintain the proper

delivery of social services to every barangay.

2. Proper monitoring and evaluation on the functions of

barangay officials at all times.

3. Sustain the proper implementation of programs and

services to all the constituents.

4. Parallel study should be conducted in the same area to

include other variables not used in this study.
