G. PROJECT RATIONALE
Comfort rooms are designed to help reduce tension and assist the students with
developing personal coping skills so that they can maintain control in triggering situations. The
aim is to empower the children with a space in which to practice self-directed behaviors. It has
been noted that School toilets are a basic right, not a privilege, no matter what a student’s
circumstances or where they live. Having well-maintained, clean school toilet facilities
demonstrates respect for children and their wellbeing, and also helps support them through
their academic life.
We cannot deny the fact that the restrooms of schools should be able to effectively
accommodate hundreds of students, if not thousands, each day. Delivering the best bathroom
experience in such places can be a challenging task. However, it’s crucial to deliver a good
restroom experience to students. Moreover, it can negatively affect a student’s life and lead to
some students not using the restroom facility during school. Restroom designs, unfortunately,
are given little thought during the planning and construction of the school or university facilities.
It hasn’t been long since gender politics sparked a debate about restroom use in schools and
universities in Australia. Although restrooms are given slightly better attention than before, it’s
still not adequate.

It is crucial that the disheartening view of school restrooms improve. With the right
design, installation of materials, and attention to the issues that students face daily while using
the restroom. Let’s focus on the core areas that can help a great deal in delivering the best
restroom experience to students. Thus, this project will be able to provide a clean, and
conducive comfort rooms for students which can lead to a competitive learning environment.
H. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Generally, the project aimed to:
1. Provide a clean and conducive comfort room

1. To gain experience on putting up a comfort room

3. Meeting potential partners, volunteers, and members to engage support from the
project.
4. Ensuring that the pledges/commitments of partners are delivered.
5. Providing guidance and directions to work teams in the performance of assigned tasks.
6. Ensuring program of work are accomplished as planned.
7. Monitoring of actual accomplishments vis-à-vis identified needs and planned activities.
8. Full blast implementation.

L. PROJECT MONITORING
The project proponent shall lead in the monitoring of the project. Its implementation
shall be strictly assessed in order to produce the envisioned output. All observation shall be
