● PDPS: Envisages direct payment of the difference between

which MSP is notified.
● PPSS: States have the option to implement PPSS for

● It is envisaged to cover villages having atleast 50% tribal

3. PM Janjatiya Vikas ● It is a Central Sector Scheme which was redesigned in
Mission (PMJVM) 2020 leading to merger of 2 existing schemes under it:
(i) Mechanism for Marketing of MFP through MSP &
development of Value Chain & (ii) Institutional Support
for Development and Marketing of Tribal Products.
● Objective: To strengthen tribal entrepreneurship
initiatives and to facilitate livelihood opportunities by
promoting more efficient, equitable, self-managed,

The Ministry of Women & Child Development to ensure better monitoring & effective
implementation has clubbed together all the schemes into three verticals: (i) Mission Shakti, (ii)
Mission Vatsalya & (iii) Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0.

1. Mission Shakti (Both Central Sector & Centrally Sponsored Components)

● An umbrella scheme for safety, security & empowerment of the women to be
implemented for the period of 2021-22 to 2025-26.

● Objectives: Economic empowerment of women, exercising free choice over their mind
& body, seek to reduce care burden on women & increase female labor force

participation by promoting skill development, financial literacy, capacity building etc.
● It has 2 sub schemes: “Sambal” and “Samarthya”.

● Sambal (Central Sector): It is for the safety & security of women. Components: One
stop Centers(OSC), Women helpline, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Nari Adalats.
● Samarthya (Centrally Sponsored): It is for the empowerment of Women.

Scheme & PM Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY).
● OSC- To provide support & assistance to women affected by violence & distress both

● Beti Bachao Beti Padhao- It was launched in 2015 to address the growing concern of

● Nari Adalats- To provide women with an Alternate Grievance Redressal mechanism

● Shakti Sadan (Merged 2 previous scheme Swadhar greh & Ujjwala)- Integrated relief

& rehabilitation home for women in distress situations. Residents will be provided
services like: food, clothing, counseling, primary health facilities, vocational training,
opening of bank accounts, social security benefits etc.

● Palna Creche Facility- To provide creche facility in a safe & secure environment for
children (aged between 6 months to 6 years), nutritional support, health & cognitive
development, immunization, education etc. It will be available for all the mothers
irrespective of their employment status.
● PMMVY 2.0- Originally launched in 2017 later merged into Mission Shakti. To
provide cash incentives during pregnancy for partial compensation of wage loss. It
provides maternity benefits of Rs 5000 (in 2 installments) & incentive of Rs 6000

(single installment) for the second child provided that the second child is a girl.

2. Mission Vatsalya

● It is a Centrally sponsored scheme which subsumed erstwhile Child protection


services scheme. It is to provide support to States & UTs for delivering services for
children in need and in difficult circumstances.
● It lays emphasis on child rights, advocacy and awareness with the motto to “leave no
one behind.

● Related Acts for its Implementation: Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 & POCSO Act, 2012.
● The Child Care Institutions set up under the scheme by the State government support
inter-alia age-appropriate education, access to vocational training, health care,

recreation, counseling etc. It covers both rural and urban children.
● Mission Vatsalya Portal: For all Management Information System & documentation

purposes. It has integrated erstwhile different portals like khoya paya portal, Track
Child, Integrated Child Protection scheme portal, CARINGS portal.

3. Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0

● It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme for providing integrated nutrition support.

● It seeks to address the challenges of malnutrition through a strategic shift in nutrition
content and delivery and by creation of a convergent eco-system.
● The programmes has been organized into 3 verticals:

(i) Nutrition support for Children (upto 6 years age), Adolescent Girls (14-18 years)
and Pregnant & Lactating Mothers.
(ii) Early Childhood Care & Education (3-6 years) & early stimulation for (0-3 years).

Poshan Abhiyan.
● Objectives of Poshan 2.0: To contribute to human capital development of the country,

● Objective: (i) Promote entrepreneurship among Women, SCs & STs,
(ii) Provide loan for Greenfield enterprises in manufacturing,
services, agri-allied activities, trading sector & (iii) Facilitate bank
loans between Rs 10 lakh to 1 cr to at least one SC/ST borrower &
at least 1 women borrower per bank branch of Scheduled
Commercial Banks (SCBs).
● Loan can be extended through All SCBs.

● Eligibility: SC, ST or Women, above 18 years of age, Loans under
the scheme are available for only greenfield projects, In case of
non-individual enterprises, 51% of the shareholding and controlling

4. Atal ● Flagship Social Security scheme launched in 2015 to provide old

● Eligibility: 18 to 40 years old, all bank account holders.
