Sub :- Legal notice under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act.
Sir,
The cheque No. dated 1st May ,2022 for an amount of 25,00,000/- drawn on the 1st May,2022
in SBI branch, was issued by you in lieu of discharge of your financial liabilities to us as you
the addressee of the notice have approached my client Mr. Deepak Kumar, a wholesale
traders in woollen garments in Ludhiana for the purchase of winter wear and other goods of
amount Rs. 25 Lakhs.
The said cheque was presented for payment but the same has been returned by your bank as
there was insufficient balance in your bank account. The Bank has informed us through their
cheque return memo dated 2nd May,2022.

You are now requested to make the payment of the above said amount immediately in
accordance with the provisions of section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act failing which we
will initiate criminal proceedings against you as contemplated under the above said section.
