- Variables are characteristics or properties that can take on different
values. These values represent observations or measurements in a study or experiment.
2. Differentiates the types of variables.
A. Dependent Variable – depends on other variables or factors. It is something influenced and affected that which associated with the word effect or outcome. B. Independent Variable – affects the dependent variable. It is something have control over which can choose and manipulate. In some cases, it may not be able to manipulate the independent variable. Then it is commonly known as the cause or the reason behind changes. C. Categorical Variables - are variables that represent categories or groups and cannot be measured on a numerical scale. This is often used to classify data into distinct groups or labels. D. Numerical Variables - are variables that represent measurable quantities and can be expressed in numerical terms. It provide information about the quantity, size, or amount of what is being measured.
