WEEKLY

CARLO M. MUTIA
This week has been the most special one for me as a student teacher. All
the advice and learning have prepared me for this momentous event, and I
prayed earnestly for its success. Finally, on April 15, 2024, came the
demonstration day, and I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of
pride in myself as I reflect on a job well done. After enduring countless
hours of practice, tears, and sleepless nights, the fruits of my labor have
manifested into success, and for that, I am immensely grateful.
Following the demonstration, I found myself yearning for the simple
pleasure of sleeping on time without a barrage of thoughts crowding my
mind. On Tuesday, as some of my fellow student teachers also showcased
their final demonstrations, I couldn't help but share in their joy and sense
of accomplishment.
On the same day, I carefully gathered all my visual aids and brought
them back home, feeling a swell of pride in the materials that had aided
me throughout my journey.
Then, on Wednesday and Thursday, Ma'am Melano announced that there
would be no classes, offering a much-needed break to recharge and reflect
on our achievements.
Finally, on Friday, we participated in the SLAC session for the third
time, focusing on the traditional folk dances of our fellow Romblomanons, the
Agogocoy and Virginia. The entire day was dedicated to practicing and
performing these dances, further enriching our cultural understanding and
appreciation.
