Preventive Maintenance Procedure

1.Introduction
This procedure explains correct preventive maintenance procedure about ARKRAY products for field
service personnel.
Make sure to read and understand the contents of the Operation Manual, the Reference Manual, and the
Service Manual prior to operating or inspecting of this instrument.

2. Objective
This procedure is aimed to support service personnel to perform parts cleaning/ washing/ replacement at
proper timing and make them judge instrument normal operation during preventive maintenance for
ARKRAY products.

3. Instruction
3.1. Checking instrument setting, cumulative measurement count and maintenance history

Print out the instrument setting before maintenance action. Next, check the cumulative measurement
count and maintenance history. Then, clean, wash, or replace appropriate unit of the instrument at proper
timing.

3.2. Printing Error/Trouble history printing


Before maintenance action, firstly print out the Error/Trouble history. If any frequent Error/Trouble is found,
ask customer about the detail then take appropriate action. Write down the detail of the frequent
occurring Error/Trouble and result of service action taken in “Remarks” field at the end of the list.

3.3. Inspecting the instrument


(1) Conduct preventive maintenance by following the “Preventive Maintenance Instruction” of the
applicable instrument. Fill out the “Preventive Maintenance Check List” of the applicable instrument.
Refer to the Operation Manual, the Reference Manual, and Service Manual for the detail of
individual maintenance item.

(2) In the item of “Cleaning and Washing” and “Replacement”, mark the item of action taken at
maintenance work. If any special note is needed, fill out “Remarks” field.

(3) In the item of “Check”, if a check result is compliant, mark “Check” or “Pass”. If a check result is not
compliant, take appropriate maintenance action and write down the detail of action taken in
“Comment” field. If any special note is needed, fill out “Remarks” field.

(4) Lastly, run a control measurement and check that the measurement result is within the reference
range. If the result is out of the reference range, run calibration. If control is not available, consult
with customer for possible solution.

(5) After completing the preventive maintenance action, prepare two copies of “Preventive
Maintenance Check List” and obtain user’s (confirmor) signature on both copies (One copy to be
kept by the user, the other by the company providing the maintenance service).
