Visit Japan Web - Pre-registration for Quarantine Procedures

(Fast Track)
Some quarantine procedures can be
completed before entry to Japan.
Please complete pre-registration at
least 6 hours prior to your flight’s
scheduled arrival time in Japan (or at
least 24 hours before leaving port if
you are arriving by ship).
Note: Review of your documentation will

be done with a priority on travelers
whose scheduled Japan arrival date is
within two weeks.
1 If entering Japan from China (excluding Macau & H.K) by a direct flight on/after March 1st,
2023
・Test certificate is needed to enter

Japan by a direct flight.
・Select "Will not submit" for vaccination
certificate and "Yes" for test certificate to
register for Quarantine procedure Fast
Track.
・If finished vaccination certificate
registration, re-make travel plan for Visit
Japan Web and re-register for
Quarantine procedure Fast Track.

3 1.1 Preparation
Before you do the pre-registration for

quarantine procedures, please do your
"User Registration" and "Schedule for
Entry/Return to Japan."
Click the "Schedule for Entry/Return to
Japan" button that has been created. The
"Procedures for Entry/Return to Japan"
screen will open.

4 1.2 Open the Fast Track screen
When you click “Quarantine Procedures

(Fast Track),” the Fast Track screen will
open.
Note: If there is an accompanying
person, please select the person you
wish to register for Fast Track at top of
the screen (box with dashed lines), and
then click the button.
5 1.3 About the screen
The Fast Track screen will open.

The area inside the yellow box shows
what is displayed on the Fast Track
screen. If you click the "Top" or "Back"
button in the yellow box, you will move
to screens within Fast Track.
If you click the banner ① or the "back"
button ③ of your browser (outside the
yellow box), you will return to the Visit
Japan Web top screen. Click② to return
to the screen of 1.2.

6 1.4 About the Fast Track top screen
① For quarantine use only

② Current status: The current status will
be displayed. The color of this bar will
change to reflect current status.
③ Person registering: The person who
was selected on the Visit Japan Web
screen will be displayed, followed by that
person’s information.
④ Registration procedures: Proceed from
top to bottom.
7 2.1 Vaccination certificate: Open
Please click “Vaccination certificate” on

the Fast Track top page.
Note: For persons below age 18 please

8 2.2 Vaccination certificate: Enter details
The “Vaccination certificate” screen will

open. Please read the explanation then
enter the following.
Vaccination certificate: Make your

selection
You will not be allowed to register test

result certificate once you register
vaccination certificate.
To register test result certificate,
select “Will not submit” for
vaccination certificate.
9 2.3 Vaccination certificate (when not submitting): Confirm
If you selected “Will not submit” a

vaccination certificate, click “Next” and
then “Register.”
Note: If you selected "Will not
submit," after registration is
completed you will not be able change
to "Will submit" and try to register a
certificate.
Go to ２.7

10 2.4 Vaccination certificate (if you will submit): Enter details ①
If you selected “Will register” a

vaccination certificate, please enter the
following.
① Are the following in Japanese or

English?: Make your selection
② Vaccine name and manufacturer:
Make your selection (1st to 3rd dose)
③ Date of 3rd dose: DD/MM/YYYY
11 2.5 Vaccination certificate (if you will submit): Enter details ②
④ Please attach the vaccination

certificate image(s) (showing details of
3 doses).
Click “Browse,” select a file, and the
filename will be displayed in the upload
list. Click “Browse” again to attach the
next file.
Click “Cancel” to remove an attached file.
⑤ Make your selection
Click “Next.”

12 2.6 Vaccination certificate (if you will submit): Confirm
On the final “Confirm” screen, please

confirm that what you entered is correct
and that the file you uploaded is
displayed.
If all is correct, click “Register.”
To make corrections, click “Back.”
13 2.7 Vaccination certificate: Registration complete
When registration is complete please

click “Back to top.”
IMPORTANT: Do not click on your

browser's "Back" button. If you do so,
the review process might not
complete properly.

14 2.8 Vaccination certificate: After registering as “Will not submit”
・After registering as “Will not submit”

The bar at the top of the screen will
change to yellow. The status will be "Not
yet registered.”
Vaccination certificate status at the
bottom of the screen will be displayed as
“Review completed” and “No items
registered.”
Please proceed to register your test
result certificate.
15 2.9 Vaccination certificate: After registering as “Will submit”
After registering as “Will submit”

Bar at top is red,status "Being reviewed."
Status for vaccination certificate (bottom)
is “Being reviewed” and “Validity start
date” is date of 3rd dose.
You will receive an e-mail with results. If
rejected, please confirm reason then re-
register.
If you have no valid vaccination
certificate, select “Will not submit.”
Instead, submit a test result certificate.

16 2.10 Vaccination certificate: If you submitted and it was accepted
・If you submitted and it was accepted

change to blue. Your status will be
"Review completed."
Vaccination certificate status at the
“Review completed.”
This completes the process.

Your test result certificate status will be
indicated as "Not required."
17 3.1 Test result certificate for test taken less than 72 hours before departure: Open
Please click “Test result certificate for test

taken less than 72 hours before
departure” on the Fast Track top page.
Note: If the review of your vaccination

certificate has been completed, you do
not need to register a test result
certificate.

18 3.2 Test result certificate for test taken less than 72 hours before departure: Enter details
The screen for “Test result certificate for

test taken less than 72 hours before
departure” will open. Please enter the
following.
Do you wish to do prior registration of a
test result certificate? Make your
selection
19 3.3 Test result certificate (when not submitting) :Confirm
If you selected “No,” click “Next,” then

“Register.”
*If you chose "Will not submit," you
cannot change to "Will submit" after
registration completes and try to
register a certificate.
Go to 3.7
*You must show test result certificate

(tested within 72 hours before
departure, paper or other version)
when you board aircraft/ship and
upon entering Japan, etc.

20 3.4 Test result certificate (when submitting): Enter details
If you selected “Yes,” enter the following.

① Sample date/time (Local time at
point of departure. If country/time
zone of test result certificate is
different, convert.)
② Automatically displays as 72 hours
after sample
③ Type of test: Select
④ Sampling method: Select
⑤ Test result: Select
⑥ Click “Browse” to attach image of test
result certificate. Confirm selected
filename is displayed.
21 3.5 Test result certificate (when submitting): Confirm
On the final “Confirm” screen, please

confirm that what you entered is correct
and that the file you uploaded is
displayed.
If all is correct, click “Register.”
To make corrections, click “Back.”

22 3.6 Test result certificate for test taken less than 72 hours before departure: Complete
When registration is complete please

click “Back to top.”
23 3.7 Test result certificate: After registering without submitting
The bar at the top of the screen will be

yellow. Status will be "Review
completed."
Status at the bottom of the screen will be

displayed as “Review completed.” "No
items registered" will displayed for
“Expiry.”
This completes the registration process.

24 3.8 Test result certificate: After registering as “Yes” to submit
(this applies only applies if you did not

submit a vaccination certificate)
Bar at top of screen will remain yellow,
status will be "Being reviewed."
Status at bottom of screen will show as
“Being reviewed” and “Expiry” will
automatically be displayed as 72 hours
after the sample date/time.
You will receive an e-mail with results. If

rejected, please confirm reason then re-
register.
25 3.9 Test result certificate: If you submitted and it was accepted
・If you submitted and it was accepted

change to blue. Status will be “Review
completed,” after which no information
can be modified.
Test result certificate status at the
“Review completed.”
This completes the registration process.

26 How to display on screen when you enter Japan
Click the "Schedule for Entry/Return to

Japan" button created for this scheduled
arrival to Japan. The "Procedures for
Entry/Return to Japan" screen will open.
Please click the "Quarantine Procedures
(Fast Track)" button to open the top
screen of Fast Track.
