EXISTING CR/IFR/EFR VERTICAL TANKS FOR PRODUCT/WATER
STORAGE:
Item includes replacement of bottom, annular, shell & roof plates in
existing tank. It also includes replacement of shell manhole
reinforcement plate & wind girder plates. All other items such as
labour, equipment, power, consumables etc shall be supplied by
contractor. While replacing roof plates of existing tanks, special care
should be taken to avoid local sagging/depression in the roof plates.
Note :
a) The steel plates shall be of Mild Steel Plate conforming to IS 2062
GR.'B'/IS 2062 E250B fully killed & will be free issue material for this
item.
b) Item does not include dismantling of damaged plate in existing
tanks.
c) Rate to include making all arrangment for proper installation of
new plates after dismantling of damaged plates.
d) The rate shall be inclusive of provision of metalic tubular
scaffolding up to required height as per site condition.
e) Item does not include any painting works of steel plates.
f) Radiography will be paid separately.

517 Structural Steel Works in Vertical Tanks: KG 1.00 137.12 137.12

Supplying, transporting, fabricating, erecting Structural steel work
from rolled sections and built-up sections like flats, tees, angles,
channels, plates, pipes etc for various structural elements as
required at the Vertical oil storage tank. Preparation of drawing,
design & specification shall be arranged by contractor at his own
cost as per guidance of IOCL. Item also includes applying Primer
P4{with one coat of two pack high build modified alumunium epoxy
mastic coating possessing self priming properties and good adhesion
to even @ 175 microns DFT/coat} and two coats of Finish Paint F1
{Two pack aliphatic acrylic polyurethane finish paint @ (40-45)
microns DFT/coat after preparing surface by Hand cleaning wire
brush all complete as per drawing, specification and direction of Site-
In-Charge.

The make of Structural Steel / tubular steel shall be of

SAIL/Tata/RINL/Jindal. In case some small Mild Steel sections are
not manufactured by SAIL/Tata, steel of other manufactuer may be
used which must confirm the relevant IS code with prior approval of
Engineer-In-Charge."

518 CALIBRATION OF TANKS: EA 1.00 50000.00 50,000.00

Item includes bottom calibration with actual physical measurement
by water meter till datum plate & calibration of tank shell by
strapping periphery of different strakes above and below the
horizontal weld joints OR by "Optical Reference & Line
Methodology" method.
In case, the calibration is done by strapping method, double stage
scaffolding with MS structures / pipes is also included in this item.
Item includes cost towards statutory payment to be made to the
authorities and all other incidental costs.
Item includes preparation & submission of calibration charts in
quadruplicate duly approved by the tank calibration authority.
Water required for the calibration till datum plate shall be provided
by IOCL within terminal premises or paid for separately as per water
supply item rate in this contract.
Handling of water for calibration till datum plate level including
provision of water conveying pipes, water pumps, all material and
labour, as required shall be arranged by the contractor & is inclusive
in the rate. It is also inclusive of all neccessary arrangements to
pump the water into tank & to drain out the water also at no extra
cost to IOCL.
This rate is universally applicable for all tank sizes & capacities.
