FOREWORD

As nurses, we understand fresh nursing graduates needs to review their knowledge and
prepare for employment and professional organizations exams. The aim of the book is
to prepare nursing graduates to pass their exams through series of practice questions, which
will measure their knowledge of basic information that forms the foundation of nursing
practice. The authors work on several strategies to compile the book including using open
sources, academic question banks, and newly constructed questions. Questions were reviewed
and explained by rationales.

This book provides a compilation of test materials covering concepts of Fundamentals

of Nursing, Basic Science, Pharmacology, Nutrition, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Critical
Care Nursing, Community Nursing, Mental/Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrics, Gynecology,
Newborn, Pediatric Medical and Surgical, Unit Resources to Support and Coordinate Patient
Care, Quality and Safe Patient Care at the Frontline, Nursing Teams, and Inter-professional

Research.

The test questions are based on the Six Level of Learnings of Bloom's Taxonomy for
the examinees to become familiar with lower and higher-order cognitive skills. Likewise,
correct answers and rationale for each question are provided in the second part of this book.
