These are the specific goals in the four (4)-fold functions of the University:

1. Deliver relevant interactive and experimental business education with academic standards by academically qualifies faculty.
2. Continually involve research activities which enhance the quality of instruction and contribute to the literature of business.
3. Provide linkages and opportunities for the involvement of the faculty and students with business community.

COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Knowledge
1. Define business and communication;
2. Understand and appropriately apply modes of expression, i.e., descriptive, expositive, narrative, scientific, and self-expressive, in written,
visual, and oral communication;
3. Explain how communication is important to business;
4. Determine appropriate terms, expressions, and images;
5. Determine the different types of language registers;
6. Evaluate multimodal texts critically to enhance receptive (listening, reading, viewing) skills; and
7. Explain the importance of specifying audience and purpose and to select appropriate communication choices.
Skills
1. Deliver an effective oral business presentation;
2. Develop the ability to research and write a documented paper and/or to give an oral presentation;
3. Compose and revise accurate business documents using computer technology;
4. Communicate via electronic mail, Internet, and other technologies;
5. write and present academic papers using appropriate tone, style, conventions, and reference styles.
Values
1. Identify ethical, legal, cultural, and global issues affecting business communication;
2. Appreciate the differences of the varieties of spoken and written language;

COURSE DESCRIPTION : Business Communication is about the process of sharing information between people within and outside a
company. It is the application of business communication principles through creation of effective business documents and oral presentations. This
includes study and application of team communication and use of technology to facilitate the communication process.
