b INTRODUCTION:
Invite children to stand on one side of the room and tell them that they will be walking to the other
side of the room five different times. Tell them that each time they will be asked to walk in a
different way, and to see if they can do it!

1) Pretend the ground is really sticky and every time you take a step, your foot gets stuck again!
2) Pretend there is a big earthquake and the ground is shaking!
3) Pretend the ground is super hot and if you leave your feet on the ground too long they will melt!

4) Pretend your feet are super bouncy and every time they touch the ground they bounce way up
high!

5) Pretend you are balancing on a balance beam way up in the air and you have to be super careful
not to fall!

Invite children to sit down again and then discussion the following questions:

1) Are there different ways to get to the store? (Discuss.)
