By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
 Choose at least four categories about oneself and write some ideas based on the categories chosen.
 Write two paragraphs of a personal webpage using the information in the categories.

ACTIVITIES
 Ask pupils about their experience with social media websites and their profiles. Encourage the use of vocabulary relevant
PRE-LESSON
to the topic and give support where needed.

 Ask pupils to look at the layout of the text and tell you what it is (a personal webpage).
 Ask pupils to read through the webpage and underline any unknown words at the same time.
 Alternatively, you can have different Pupils read the webpage aloud.
 Ask pupils to read through the questions and answer them.
 Check the answers with the class. (Student’s book p13 Activity A)

 Ask pupils to read through the categories.

 Ask pupils to read through the questions and check their understanding.
 Ask pupils to share their ideas from Activity B and discuss their responses to the questions in small groups.
 Initiate a short discussion. (Student’s book p13 Activity C)

 Refer pupils to Ahmad's webpage as well as to the categories and the notes made in exercise B.
 Draw pupils’ attention to the TIPS and explain them. If necessary, ask Pupils to give you examples using the linking words.
 Allow pupils some time to write the paragraphs of their personal webpage.
 Choose some pupils to read out their personal webpages. (Student’s book p13 Activity D)
 Ask pupils to describe what they have learnt in the lesson and how they learnt it.
POST-LESSON  Allow pupils to discuss their ideas with their talk partner(s) before collecting ideas as a class.
