Social Media Advertising is more effective than Traditional Advertising

The rapid progress of technology has had an impact on the world of advertising which is
growing very massively. Advertising itself plays quite an important role in the marketing strategy of
every business and company. By using advertising, companies can reach target markets, build
effective brand awareness, direct potential customers to your business, promote sales of new
products or services to the market, and differentiate products from competitors. At first glance,
advertising resembles marketing, but you need to understand that the two are different things. It
can be said that advertising is one of the components in marketing. The growth of technology
towards digital means that advertising trends are starting to shift from conventional methods to
digital.

Traditional methods that have been used for decades, such as print ads, billboards, TV ads,
and radio ads are generally non-interactive and aimed at a mass audience. This method is expensive,
and it is difficult to accurately measure its effectiveness. On the other hand, marketing through
digital advertising is a recent phenomenon that utilizes digital channels such as social media, search
engines, email marketing and mobile applications to reach targeted audiences. This method is more
cost-effective than traditional methods, and offers better measurement and analysis opportunities.
Advertising through digital means also allows for more interactive engagement with audiences,
which can result in higher conversion rates so that consumers will feel more valued and will be loyal
to the brand.

If measured from audience precision, real time monitoring, cost effectiveness, viral potential
it can be said that social media advertising is more effective than traditional advertising methods
and traditional advertising elements can be incorporated into advertising via social media. However,
it is important to realize that social media and traditional advertising each have their own unique
strengths and a balanced approach can provide optimal results.
