Each reflection is a group reflection and should be written by the group. You can use the following template to write your reflections.
Reflection Title Data collection
What went well? What did
you learn? We were able to recruit a good number of participants for the study. This is crucial because a larger sample size strengthens the overall analysis and makes the results more generalizable. The questionnaire seemed to be well-understood by the participants. In addition, we stayed on track with the planned timeline for data collection. This efficient execution allows for a smooth transition to the analysis phase without delays. Finally, this whole experience taught us the importance of pilot testing to establish a powerful questionnaire and thus significant data. There were unexpected situations during data collection. But we learned the importance of being adaptable and flexible to address any challenges that arise on the spot.
Did you face any Yes No
challenges? What were the challenges At the beginning of data collection, we were able to reach a large faced by the group? audience of 170 people, but as time went on we lost that momentum and had to think outside the box to expand our circle and reach as many people as we could. Not to mention that we had a difficult time reaching year 4 and 5 students, which could ultimately lead our data to be skewed. To overcome those obstacles we distributed brochures with QR codes for students and faculty, and would give out candies for those that completed it, it proved to be a robust tool!
