LETTER OF APPOINTMENT

Employment Offer

Congratulations! The Burger Co is pleased to offer you full-time employment on the conditions set
out below.

1) Start Date

Your employment will start on <insert commencement date>.

2) Employment Basis

You will be employed as a full-time <insert position title>, level <insert position level> in accordance with
the Restaurant internal rules.

You will report to <insert the position title for the reporting position> or such other representative of the
Employer as advised from time to time.

You will be required to perform all duties set out in your position Job description, plus any other duties
reasonably associated with your position and/or directed by the Employer. You must perform your
duties diligently and faithfully, following all lawful and reasonable directions. Your performance will be
reviewed as required.

3) Place of Employment

You will be employed at the <insert place of employment>, however, you may be required to work at
alternate location within a reasonable distance of the <name of the other branch>, as may be directed
by the Employer.

4) Minimum Employment Period

You will be employed subject to a probationary period that will coincide with the minimum
employment period of 01 year and at the of year performance evaluation will be conducted and if
its satisfactory your employment will be extended for next year so on.

5) Entitlements

a) Wages

Your ordinary hourly rate will be <insert PKR monetary amount>.

You will be paid on a <Monthly/daily/hourly> basis, less applicable tax.


b) Working Hours

Your hours of work will be an average of <48> ordinary hours per week over a period of no more
than 4 weeks plus reasonable additional hours as rostered or as requested. Additional hours
worked shall, where authorized to be worked, be paid at the overtime rates specified in the
company rules & regulation.

You are entitled to a minimum of one day off per week cycle/ four day off per month cycle.

You are likely to be required to work on public holidays.

c) Meal & Rest breaks

All full-time employees of TBC are eligible for one-hour break for rest & meal, during a working day of
9 hours. This break time shall be considered paid time. However, part-time employees are eligible for
half an Hour break during the working shift of 6 hours, which does not considered as paid time. If any
part time employee is working more than 6 hours, his break time will be increase according to his
working hours. All the employees of TBC working at restaurant are eligible for free meals as per meal
policy.

d) Leaves and Holidays:

All TBC employees are entitled for leaves according to the government rules and regulations:
Full time permanent employees are eligible for paid leaves as per following chart.

However, due to nature of our business public holidays will be given on some other days instead of
government announced dates.

Part time employees are also entitled for leaves as per following chart however, their leaves are not
paid as in the case of full-time permanent employees.

e) Reimbursement of leaves:

In case of resignation of full time employees from company, he shall be eligible for getting his un-availed
an annual leaves reimbursement as per policy.

6) Termination

An employee and employers has the right to terminate this agreement at his own will. However, Two
weeks notice prior to leave shall be served to the other party or in lieu of notice; two weeks salary shall be
paid.

Following are few most common reasons of terminations of an employment agreement;


a. Resignation by employee for personal reasons.
b. Theft
c. Using abusive language or fight with colleagues/customers.
d. No-show on work for 05 shifts/days.
e. Performance discrepancies.
f. Sexual harassment.
g. Violation of company disciplinary policies.

If an employee tends to resign from his job, he/she shall also provide two weeks notice in written.

If you fail to provide the required amount of notice, the Employer may withhold any amounts of your
termination pay equivalent to the notice period not given.

7) Uniform

Where the employer provides the employee with a uniform and requires the employee to launder
the uniform provided, the employer will reimburse the employee for the demonstrated cost of
laundering the uniform.

As the employer requires you to launder the uniform provided, you will be paid a laundry allowance of
<INSERT AMOUNT> on <WEEKLY/FORTNIGHTLY> basis and at the time of leaving employee will
submit the uniform, if failed to submit employer will deduct the uniform cost from final settlement.

8) Confidentiality

You must not reveal or use, either for your own benefit or anyone else’s, any confidential information
which you may acquire during your employment. This obligation will still apply to you after your
employment with The Burger Co. has ended.
