Cost Center Project Definition for Creating

Distribution and Non Scheme Estimates in SAP ERP

From the Financial Year 2024, the Project Definition is provided at the Cost Center level (Section Office instead
of Circle Level) for Distribution related estimates and Non Scheme Estimates. Each Cost Center will have a
separate Project Definition, and the users are instructed to create the estimates under their respective Cost
Center Project Definition only. These changes are being done to avoid following errors:

1. Movement not allowed even after the work order getting approved
2. Work order approver is unable to approve the work order.
3. Investment Updation failed issue.
4. User unable to create WBS estimate while another user is approving work order
5. More load on single project definition.

New Project Definition is as follows:

Example: DW-24A-22063108

DW – Distribution Work (For now, this project definition is being rolled out only for Distribution
Circles)

24A – Financial Year with A letter

22063108 – Cost Center (8 Digits)

Estimate Creation screen:

T-Code ZPSES

Note: Do not type or edit any other characters. Please use only the search option to get the data
into the all field. Please follow the instructions scrupulously.

Step 1:

1. In project def. Give your respective Cost Center project definition. Ex. DW-24A-22063108
2. Click enter
3. Click search button (F4) in the field WBS element
Step 2:

1. Select the WBS element

2. Click enter

Step 3:

1. Click search button (F4) in the field WBS Cost Center

The field - WBS Cost Center will have the same description as WBS element. Select the WBS element and click
enter and do not change any description or WBS data entered.

Step 4:

1. In WBS estimate number type 2nd level WBS element (WBS Cost Center) and then type “-001” as
estimate number for creating first estimate. For further estimates, change the last digits as 002, 003
004 and so on.
2. Give Estimate description and click enter it will lead to estimate creation screen.
Create estimate by adding material and labour in the activity as done previously.

Note:

While creating the next further estimates, follow the same procedures as explained above from step 1 to Step
3. For the Step 4, Click search button in field WBS Estimate Number (as shown below)
 1. Select the last estimate number and change the estimate number to next series number as shown
below

Recording Estimate Approval T-Code : ZPSESR

All the remaining steps from Recording estimate approval till WO Closure are the same as
followed till now. Please make note of the changes in the Project Definition and WBS element to
be filled wherever applicable.
