What is the essence of having your own identity?

Having our own identity is what makes us whole as a person. We all want to stand out and be
unique. We want our presence to be known, and having our own identities is a way to
distinguish ourselves apart from our contemporary peers. Our own identity gives us a sense
of who we are for us to know what kind of person we are. Our identity is molded through the
way we behave and make actions to the decisions we make for ourselves. Having your own
identity allows you to go out to your comfort zone and be more confident, showing and
sharing your own ideas, actions, thoughts and feelings, showing the real you, and this is what
we call “identity”.
