A. Effectivity
The information in this SIL is applicable to the FDSA-6500 Flight Display Software
Application listed in the following table.
ROCKWELL COLLINS
UNIT NOMENCLATURE
PART NUMBER (CPN)
B. Issue Summary
(1) The Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) Fly-To Cue indication on the primary
cockpit displays may conflict with other TCAS system information (e.g. aural cues)
during a Resolution Advisory (RA) scenario. Specifically, the TCAS Fly-To Cue
vertical position on the Attitude Direction Indicator (ADI) pitch tape is displayed
relative to the aircraft horizon line instead of the aircraft symbol. The potential conflict
between displayed indications and TCAS aural cues could adversely affect the pilot
decision-making process and may lead the pilot to over/under-correct which may
result in unintended reduction in aircraft separation.
(2) The TCAS Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) outputs are correct, and compliant with
requirements, and the aural call-outs for the pilot are correct. The issue has been
isolated to the FDSA-6500 software where the command data from the TCAS
equipment is being translated incorrectly prior to display of TCAS Resolution Advisory
pitch indications on the AFD-3700.
C. Replacement Effectivity
(1) The following table shows the replacement FDSA-6500 software CPNs for each
version that is obsolete due to the TCAS non-compliance.

(2) For APCT-3700, ICIT-3700, and KIT-3700 software part numbers, refer to aircraft
platform specific information in Section F.
Notification will be sent to operators once the STCs and SBs are available. In the interim,
contact the Rockwell Collins Customer Support Center to obtain status on the STC and/or
SB specific to each aircraft platform.
• For both Textron Production delivered and retrofit King Air aircraft with Pro Line
Fusion® refer to Rockwell Collins Approved Model List (AML) STC SA01922WI
document number RCA-3158, Modification Instructions, refer to Table 1 to
reference existing/new FDSA-6500 and ICIT part numbers.
• Additionally, Textron Production delivered aircraft with Pro Line Fusion® may
refer to Textron SB MTB-34-02 for existing/replacement loadset.
• The new FDSA-6500 and ICIT-3700 software may be obtained by accessing
the Textron portal at http://txtavsupport.com and following the instructions.
• Initial delivery of the files will be electronic with the delivery of the Compact Disc
(CD)s to follow approximately 2-3 weeks later. No Purchase Order (PO) will be
required to obtain the CDs.
• Updated software will be made available on the Rockwell Collins Aftermarket web
portal for download onto a USB memory device.
• Rockwell Collins Customer Support Engineers will reach out to each operator to
ensure access to the web portal and walk them through the update.
• Refer to Section F. for USB preparation and software load reference instructions.
• Initial delivery of the files will be electronic with the delivery of the CDs to follow
approximately 2-3 weeks later. No Purchase Order (PO) will be required to obtain
the CDs.
• Updated software will be made available on the Rockwell Collins Aftermarket web
portal for download onto a USB memory device.
• Operators should download and refer to the document titled "Pro Line II to
Fusion® King Air ICIT and Audio Storage & Playback Unit (ASPU) Software Config
Matrix.pdf", available on the web portal, to determine the specific files to be
downloaded from the web portal for their aircraft. Please note that the KIT-3700 CD
will contain all possible files, not just those for a specific aircraft.
• Rockwell Collins Customer Support Engineers will reach out to each operator to
ensure access to the web portal and walk them through the update.
• Refer to Section F. for USB preparation and software load reference instructions.
(4) Challenger 604.
This section applies to all Challenger 604 aircraft that have been updated via
ST04356CH. The new FDSA-6500 and ICIT-3700 software may be obtained as
described below. Refer to Table 1 to reference existing/new FDSA-6500 and ICIT
part numbers.
• Operators should contact Nextant to obtain the aircraft service bulletin and have
a USB memory device shipped to them. The USB memory device is a Parts
Manufacturer Approval (PMA) approved part that is required in order to update the
software on the aircraft. The USB memory device has the same Part Number
as the ICIT-3700 contained within it, which is NT0016-ICIT-0100-B. This device
contains the software needed to update a Challenger 604 to resolve the TCAS
Fly-To Cue indication on the primary flight deck displays.
• The instructions for installation on the aircraft are available in the aircraft service
bulletin SB-31-2019-02.
• Operators should call Nextant Customer Support at 216.797.8416 to have the USB
memory device mailed to them and to obtain instructions on how to download the
aircraft service bulletin.
• Refer to Section F. for software load reference instructions.

Allocation unit size drop down menu, select Default allocation size. Use of
the Volume label field and Format options field is not required. Select Start.
(7) Install software identified in Table 1 per applicable AMM/ASM - The following steps
are provided for clarification/simplification only.
(a) Prepare/Load USB flash drive with required software
1. Production King Air and PL21 to KA Fusion, insert field loadable shorting
plug in the back of the center pedestal.
2. Aftermarket PL 2 to KA Fusion, locate the Automated Field Load enable
switch in the Pilots side nose avionics bay set the switch to ON.
3. CJ3 locate the Automated Field Load enable switch in the Pilots side nose
avionics bay set the switch to ON.
4. CL604, locate the Automated Field Load enable switch behind the Pilots
seat, set the switch to ON.
(d) Cycle the power on the AFD-3700 unit requiring field load (all three (3)).
(e) Insert the prepared USB flash drive into the AFD front bezel USB port.
(f) The Target Status messages will update during field load to indicate progress.
(g) Upon successful field load completion the Target Status will state Complete for
each target.
(h) Remove the USB flash drive from the AFD front bezel USB port
