Psychology attended a field trip to Atlanta to
various locations throughout the day and
evening. The letter was a reminder for parents
and students.
Students rarely have the opportunity to attend
field trips outside of extracurricular events. I
organized a field trip to the Georgia
Aquarium, Jimmy Carter Presidential Library,
and the Atlanta Opera. Fifty students attended
the field trip while there was a wait list of
over twenty. Additionally, the AP Art History
class organizes field trips to attend the Carlos
Museum and High Museum of Art. Students
were excited to attend, and underclassmen
students were vocal that they would continue
to register for AP classes to ensure they could
attend the field trip in the future.
5 = Field trips are expensive for students,
especially students attending a Title I school.
One of the largest expenses involves
transportation and substitutes.
