ACTIVITY III:
As I have understood, basic research is much simpler than applied research. This is due to the fact
that basic research expands knowledge than actually solve problems relevant to the economy and the
public. Furthermore, it has lesser association to technology, and is more theoretical and exploratory in
nature. Meanwhile, applied research provides resolution to specific issues faced by the majority. Unlike
the former type of research, the latter is particularly descriptive and practical in nature, and has more
clearer objectives and specific scope.
