From Figure 1, we observe that,
I = -9.996E-008 A.
V=2.0004V.

Assignments

01.Find the values of I and V in the circuits given below, using

PSIM.
a) Circuit Diagram:

Figure 2
From Figure 2, we observe that,
I = 0.002 A.
V=2E-008V.

b) Circuit Diagram:

Figure 3
From Figure 3, we observe that,
I = 4.9988E-007 A.
V=4.99875V.

c) Circuit Diagram:

Figure 4
From Figure 4, we observe that,
I = 4.9916E-007A.
V=4.99875V.

d) Circuit Diagram:

Figure 5
From Figure 5, we observe that,
I =0.002 A.
V=2E-008 V.

02.Using PSIM, create a circuit with diodes that will work as AND
gate.

Truth Table for AND Gate :

Case1 Input A Input B Output (A.B)

1 0 0 0
2 1 0 0
3 0 1 0
4 1 1 1

The following diode circuits are created to work as AND GATE.

Case 1:

Figure 6
Case 2 :

Figure 7
Case 3:

Figure 8
Case 4:

Figure 9

When both inputs are at logic “1″, the two diodes are reverse biased and
there is no current flowing to ground. Therefore the output is logic “1”
that means “On”.(Case 4).
If one of the inputs is logic “0”, the current will flow through the
corresponding diode and through the resistor. Thus the output will be
logic “0” that means “Off”. (Case 1,2,3)
03. Find the value of I and V in the circuits below using PSIM. Use
Ideal diode. [Diode threshold voltage = 0 V]

a)Circuit Diagram:

Figure 10
From Figure 10, we observe that,
I= 1mA.
I1=ID2=1mA.
Vp1=V=-1E-009V.

b)Circuit Diagram:

Figure 11
From Figure 11, we observe that,
I= -3.33o7E-007 mA.
I1=ID2=1.33 mA.
Vp1=V=3.3322V.
