neighborhoods, and cities, affecting safety. Many strategies
to improve safety have been attempted but there are clear

OVERVIEW
Proposition
I propose implementing a neighborhood watch and community-oriented policing in high-crime
areas, engaging the community to enhance safety and prevent crime and disasters.

Importance
High-crime communities require more than just law enforcement to combat crime effectively.
Crime instills fear in communities, impacting daily life, social interactions, and decisions.

Strategies
Implementing community-oriented policing and establishing neighborhood watch programs are
vital strategies to prevent crime before it occurs, fostering safer environments for residents.
LOCATION
Project Focus

city of Albuquerque are mostly located in the
southeast of the city. As shown by

CONCLUSION
The challenge of crime prevention in communities
with high crime rates requires the help of residents
and law enforcement. Crime-oriented prevention
and neighborhood watch programs in these
communities are the best solutions to empower
them to take a more active role, collaborating with
law enforcement and enhancing community safety.

By implementing these strategies into these

communities, we are making their communities 2024
