Why did the EBS database profile for the users APPS/APPS_NE/APPLSYS get changed from DEFAULT to EBS_APPS in EBS
12.2?

SOLUTION

Starting with EBS 12.2 code level C (R12.AD.C) the DB profile for the users APPS/APPS_NE/APPLSYS was deliberately
changed from Default to the seeded profile EBS_APPS.

This was a change made to address profile changes related to adadmin and autoconfig (Internal Bug 22202241 - ORA-
28000: THE ACCOUNT IS LOCKED WHILE APPLYING A PATCH is an example of such an issue).
