MY PROJECT-ENGLISH IV

Angel: It’s been a long time! How have you been?

Ricardo: I have been really busy studying for exams. On top of that, I just started a
new job.

Angel: Oh, really? Doing what?

Ricardo: Well, I just got a new part-time job. I’ll be making more money. I work as an
assistant legal and I am conciliator too.

I don’t mind working long hours.

I love writing reports.

I prefer action to talk. When I’m faced with a problem, I immediately try to work out a
solution or maybe the easiest way to solve a difficult problem is to get help from
others. Another person’s perspective can help me when I’m no getting anywhere with
a problem.

Congratulations you finally got the scholarship to the best school in New York. I am so
happy for you.

Angel: Thanks, I was lucky. Life is very different here, but it’s a great experience for
me, and I am enjoying it very much. It’s my first time living away from home, and I
miss my mom’s cooking. The food in this school is OK, but it doesn’t have much
flavor. Also, my classes are difficult because they are in English, but the teachers are
very helpful.

I like meeting people, but I’m a little shy. In my free time I’m interest in learning other
languages. Ricardo: You deserve it and if you need help just call me my friend. Where
will you live?

Angel: I will find a room near the university. There are lots of students sharing
apartments.

Ricardo: What will you study?

Angel: I’ll probably major in sociology and political science. I want to go into politics.
Let me tell you something. Last month, I worked in a restaurant but I didn’t like
because was so hard.

Ricardo: Oh, my friend!

Are you kidding me? I’m sure you will do well in school and in whatever career you
choose. Actually I am studying law at UTP University and I want to be the best lawyer
that you have ever met. I’m interest in getting a well-paying job.

Angel: Thanks.

Ricardo: I’ll miss you a lot.

Angel: I promise I will e-mail you. Maybe you will come and visit me some time.

Ricardo: That will be great. Remember that my parents live in Queens close to the
University. I was with them ten years ago and I know that New York is a nice city.

Angel: My friend, I have to study. I am really sorry.

Ricardo: No problem my dear friend. Take care.
