Would rather, Had rather, Had Sooner, Had better express wish or strong desire.
They take second form of verb ( V2 ) after them but if followed by another
subject (as in 6), and base form if no such subject follows (as in 7).

यहााँ subject के बाद base form आता है (जै से- sentence 7) परन्तु अगर had rather, had
better इत्याकद के बाद कोई दू सरा subject आ जाए (जै से- Sentence 6) तो V2 (was को छोड़ कर)
का प्रयोग होगा।
