Coating Defects:

Activity: Inspection of settler support painting touch-up work.

Location: ECSB-1 Tank shell (EL + 18600 Wind Grider-1)
Cause: Heat Damage
Degradation of first coat internal lining (Epilux 9 HB Phenolic @1x 100 um) found
due to effect of high temperature applied to the reverse side of steel plate from
welding (i.e Welding of Wind Girder plate outside of shell plate)

Repair works carried out complete removal of welding/burning using power tool
cleaning by grinding and hand tool cleaning by abrading with sand paper 80 grit
size to create a surface roughness profile.
Removing dust and foreign matters, followed with the stripe coating of primer
coat. Applying final coat with the airless spray at WFT 180 - 220 micron
