To be compliant with IEC 60364-7-710, lighting backup systems must function for at least 3
hours.
The external system must therefore have a capacity of at least 3 hours. The MAQUET
backup unit makes it possible to check compliance with this requirement.

time, lifespan, etc.)

Description Specifications
Users must contact their hospital's sanitary specialists. The recommended products must be
used and the recommended procedures followed. Should there be any doubt concerning the
compatibility of active agents to be used, contact your authorised Maquet dealer.

Check that the power is switched off and the light has cooled down before starting cleaning.
Wipe the equipment with a cloth moistened with a surface cleaner. Follow the manufacturer's
dilution, application time, and temperature recommendations.
Rinse the unit with a cloth and clean water. Wipe dry.
Wipe evenly with a cloth moistened with disinfectant. Follow the manufacturer's
recommendations.
Use a cloth to rinse with clean water in order to remove residues (in particular products
containing aldehydes, quaternary ammonium or surfactants).
Wipe with a dry cloth.
Make sure no liquid residue is left on the device after cleaning.

8 Maintenance procedures
! WARNING
Always disconnect the lighthead from the mains and let it cool before performing
maintenance.
! WARNING
The spring arm must be lowered in order to install the lighthead. Doing so compresses the
spring and results in a safety hazard.
Stay clear of the vertical reach of the spring arm.
Lock the spring arm in a safe position.

Insert the two batteries (8) in their compartments with the terminals (9) facing outward.
Fasten the connectors to the terminals (9) by tightening the screws and nuts with a 10 mm
spanner. Make sure that the colours correspond as indicated above.
Fully slide the batteries into their compartments then fasten the bumper in place with the
screw and washer.
Secure the cover by tightening the 10 screws.
