Đề bài: Cycling is more environmentally friendly than other forms of transport.

Why is it not popular in many places? And how to increase its popularity?

It is true that, nowadays, traveling by bike impacts adversely to the environment less
than other means of transport but the number of people choosing to commute by bike is
still limited in many parts of the world. This essay will discuss the reasons behind this
phenomenon and then offer some feasible solutions to it.

There are a number of factors responsible for the unpopularity of cycling. Chief among
these is that there is no separate lane/dedicated lane for cyclists so they are less likely
to choose bicycles as a means of transport. This is because those people who travel by
bike have to ride on the same road with larger vehicles such as vans or trucks; therefore,
the rate of traffic accidents happening with them will increase, which means that there is
a lack of safety for cyclists. As a result, they tend to make a safer decision by selecting
other vehicles instead of bicycles. Another reason is that commuting to work by bike is
not suitable with office workers because they will show up at their companies in an
unpleasant appearance. When riding a bike, they make a lot of effort to ride so they
sweat. This can lead to their clothes getting so wet that they will be less confident when
meeting their coworkers or employers hence riding a bike to the workplace is not an
ideal option.

Various measures; nevertheless, can be adopted to tackle the situation. The first
possible approach is that governments all over the world should allocate national
budgets to build bike-only lanes/lanes exclusive to bikers. By that, cyclists will have their
own road without sharing with other larger vehicles; therefore, the road safety will
increase. As a result, this action will stimulate more people to travel by bike on a daily
basis. Another solution worth mentioning is that companies should build bathrooms for
their workers. When bathrooms are constructed in the companies, those people who
commute to work by bike will have space to take a bath and then change their outfits so
they will be less embarrassed of sweating after riding a bike. This can result in
maintaining a cyclists’ routine of going to work by bicycle.

In conclusion, several reasons can be given to explain why bike is not the first choice
of many people in the world in terms of traveling. However, steps can be taken to
alleviate the situation.

Excellent first essay. Your brainstorming process for this essay was notably
impressive, particularly in the way you link the problems and solutions. Your attention
to detail in developing your arguments is also good, though some sections could be
cut/trimmed for greater clarity. The grammar and vocabulary also show a high level of
accuracy, with very few misuses of language. However, certain expressions are
somewhat verbose and could be made more concise.

Read my feedback and revise your essay with a focus on clarity this time. You are very
close to achieving an outstanding result.
