I. DESIGN BRIEF

Barangay hall is a government community facility where meetings and essential

activities and events are usually held. It is run by the elected barangay council, led by
the barangay head or ‘punong barangay,’ the lowest elected administrative division of
the Philippines, below that of a city or municipality. It serves as the office of the barangay
captain and meeting place for the Sangguniang Barangay.
In line with its services to the community, most barangay hall is more exposed to the
public hence, most of the spaces do not have enough room for the general public now
that social distancing must be observed.

Here is when the space programming comes in. How would you apply the design
paradigm of areas for this type of project, considering a need to layout spaces due to
the required protocols like social distancing, sanitation station, and more? What
sustainable aspects can be introduced?

II. THE SITE

The site is located at Barangay Scout Barrio, Baguio City.

IV. FORMAT OF PRESENTATION

a. Use ½ vellum cartolina for Schematic and Design Devlopment (DD) with
prescribe title block.
b. Use 1:400m scale for the SDP. Use the same scale for all DD drawings.
c. SDP and Site analysis, perspective should be colored. Other drawings
should be in pen & ink only with PROPER LINE WEIGHTS AND LINE VALUES.
For the schematic floor plans, color only the circulation path. Properly
annotate and label all drawings.
