INTRUCTIONS: Analyze the design problem given to come up with desired solution.

I. PROJECT TITLE: “A BARANGAY HALL”

II. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:


A barangay hall is a local government building that administrates and manages a barangay –
the smallest administrative division in the Philippines. The government is promoting better
community services to the public where community can collaborate. This includes the provision
for sustainable and functional office for barangay officials where they can attend and meet the
needs in their respective community.

III. PROJECT SITE FEATURES:


The lot has a width of 35.00 meters and a depth of 40.00 meters. The shorter side faces the
main street on the north and a minor street on the east. The remaining two sides are bounded
by private property.

IV. DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS:


The building shall be a two-storey consisting of offices for different barangay officials and area
for multiple uses according to situational demands of the community with pertinent space
requirement as listed hereunder. However, the designer may add any facility and or spaces
which may deemed necessary for better services to the public.

V. SPACE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Office of the Barangay Captain
2. Conference Room
3. Office of the Barangay Officials
4. Office of the SK Chairman
5. Receiving/Waiting Area
6. Storage
7. Kitchenette
8. Toilets

VI. DRAWING REQUIREMENTS:


All drawings shall be in a 20x30 white paper, landscape view with standard border line and logo.
a. Design and Form Concept ( in freehand drafting)
b. Space analysis ( bubble diagram )
c. Floor Plan (1:100 meters) complete labels and dimensions
d. Four (4) Elevations (1:100 meters)
e. Perspective in Isometric Drawing (1:100 meters)

VII. BASES OF GRADING:


a. Research Work 10 pts
b. Design and form concept (creativity and character in
15 pts
accordance to the given concept)
c. Space Analysis (ability to analyze the given spaces
10 pts.
according to its function)
d. Floor Plan ( zoning and circulation of spaces ) 40 pts
e. Exterior Perspective (conceptualization skills) 15 pts.
f. Elevations ( projection and preciseness of details) 10 pts.
