A. Barangay Disaster Risk Profile
Barangay Imadejas Purok 1 and 2 have houses mostly constructed with light and some
indigenous materials, hence are vulnerable to any form of disasters like Typhoon, Flood and
Fire that may occur.
Purok 1, has 75 household and 12 squatters houses. The former constructed mostly of wood materials.
Purok 2 residential houses some commercial buildings mostly constructed concrete and hardwood
materials and ten (10) wood squatters house, and some of Purok 3 houses are also made of light materials
and 20 squatter houses.
Purok 1 and Purok 3 have houses having very narrow distances from each other and both Puroks are
provided with roads, although concreted are very narrow that would give difficulty maneuvering for
responding firemen in case of fire.
The existence of squatters houses increases the possibility of the occurrences of fire for both Purok 1, and
Purok 3 but no record yet of any occurrences of fire in the whole of brgy 24 Imadejas.
The situation presented herein above poses nevertheless the necessity of the barangay governance to
preempt the possible and unpredictable occurrences of a devastating fire.
Hence, the necessity of preparations and pre-planning to minimize the impact on the social, economic and
environmental aspects as a result of this calamity.
