The Matins are very busy today. There are many children in the

garden and in the living room. They are Nadine’s friends and cousins.

Everyone is happy. The house is decorated with blue, green and brown

balloons. There are many white, yellow and red flowers, too.

In the evening, everyone is around the dining table. There is a big

cake in the middle with eleven pink candles on it.

Tim stops the music and lights the candles. Everyone sings “Happy

birthday to you, Nadine’’.

Then, she blows out the candles and dad takes some photos. Nadine is

very happy because she’s got a lot of presents.
