WHEREAS, Section 19, Article XIV of the Philippine Constitution states that "(1) The State

shall promote physical education and encourage sports programs, league competitions, and
amateur sports, including training for international competitions, to foster self-discipline,
teamwork, and excellence for the development of a healthy and alert citizenry. 2) All educational
institutions shall undertake regular sports activities throughout the country in cooperation with
athletic clubs and other sectors;

WHEREAS, the Department of Education (DepEd), to integrate physical education and sports in
the primary education curriculum for the holistic development of the youth, organized the
CARAA 2024, a multi-sport event for student-athletes from the elementary and secondary level
of public and private academic institutions in the Region CAR;

WHEREAS, the DepEd announced the conduct of the Cordillera Administrative Region Annual
Administrative Meet, a from April 15 to April 19, 2024, held in the Province of Apayao with the
theme, "TAGA CORDILLERA, MAGLARO AT MAGKAISA";

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan of Aguinaldo, Ifugao, is extending its heartfelt


congratulations to all the _________________ for bringing honor and prestige to the
Municipality of Aguinaldo and serving as the epitome of excellence, leadership, and inspiration
to our youth.

ADMİNISTRATME REGION ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (CARAA) MEET HELD IN THE
CiTY OF BAGUIO ON 06 TO 10 FEBRÙARY 2016.

WHEREAS, the 2016 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet,
an annual regional sports tournament supervised and administered by the Department of
Education-Cordillera Administrative Region (DepEd - CAR), was hosted by the Province of
Apayao from 15 to 19 April 2024 where the best athletes gathered in the region who competed
and displayed their powers in various event.

WHEREAS, in this year's event, the Depe g he of Baguio, once the CAR region, again
dominated six (6) other provinces and emerged as the overall champion with 212 gold medals,
90 silver medals, and 79 bronze medals. This year is the highest gold harvest for the City of
Baguio in this annual regional sports event, and

WHEREAS, the agility, determination, and rigid training shaped the athlete's winning form far
ahead of the other contenders; the exemplary feat of these young Baguio City Sports çnthustasls
whodęmanstrateemarkable spots Onuc hroUgSnaisna again placed the City of Baguio in the
limelight ánd brought honor 'and pride not, only to their respective families and schools but also
to the entire city as a whole, which now rejoices for this unparalleled feat:

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Tabanda, duly seconded, be it RESOLVED, as it is at


this moment resolved, to warmly congratulate and commend the Baguio City Athletes, together
with their coaches, trainers, and teachers for emerging overall champion in the recently
concluded 2016 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet held
Baguio RESO VED authorize City Treasurer to immediately release the cash incentive to the
winning g athletes and coaches by the provisions of Ordinance Numbercd 92, Series of f994.
